What's good for those geese isn't good for this gander.

Gander: I don't have time to look into the Roman numberal bar business at the moment (as to exactly what it means or what the rules are as should seen in the OP), but it seems to me that Interesting is participating in the spirit of the thread, so I am letting that stand for now. Perhaps you would explain in this thread exactly what rule is being violated.

"And now for something completely different:"
Suppose for the US political board we have two boards — one where registration is required to make a reply, and one where registration is not required. Users could then pick in which world they care to live and eschew the other. How Solomoniacal is that? I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Can anyone see any downside?

More trolling is a serious downside... It is fine as it is. Those who wish to participate can and are already, there is no need to further complicate things.

You are correct Harry Potter, Interesting is a troll who most definitely trolled the roman numeral thread. I don't see his post as being in the spirit of the thread at all. That being said, my understanding is that people are generally free to post whatever they want in the threads for the most part as long as it isn't abusive, etc. I'm sure Camp K doesn't want to be involved in playing wack-a-mole with regards to removing posts from trolls nor constantly being an arbiter for what is trolling and what isn't...

It seems people here can't handle things that are perfectly correct but not in their cozy little norm.
I can understand why gth has problems with weaslespit... makes perfect sense in the above posts.
And a guest poster complaining about another guest poster, how rich can this get.

Oh heaven forefend!....I appreciate the effort of your work, trying to simultaneously cure cancer and end world hunger.
Hey, now there's an idea whose time has come: edible cancer! Solving one out of two problems ain't bad. Of course nowadays you'd have to put a little bit of soylent green food coloring in there to make it appealing to vegetarians and vegans.
