Here's another one I hear: "Money buys everything but good and common sense"

Here's another one I hear: "Money buys everything but good and common sense" Money definitely can't buy good and common sense. But I agree with the lads who sang this song, too:

Yeah, I got a shot in my knee last week. It's a trial -- if it works, I don't need an MRI or surgery.

Hope you're feeling better SUV.I broke my L. Knee in January. Was laid up for 3 months and quit my job.
Still limping occasionally, and it was a relief that the Dr. didn't do surgery.
I was placed in a brace for 10 weeks. I'm better now and working with a few
charter boats/tournaments and getting plenty of time to fish.

Thanks, Blu. So far, so good.
Sorry to hear about your knee. Did that happen on your previous job?
You probably were lucky about no surgery -- that would have meant some serious complications.
Better not land any big fish -- not sure you're knee's up to reeling a big one in!

Thanks SUV,
I won't be doing any deep blue fishing any time soon. I didn't fall at work but while walking
from my car elsewhere. Lucky me that my knee didn't suffer any tendon or ligament damage. Just
resting and not over doing anything. Occasionally I will have some knee jerks that almost throw
me down again. So walking very slowly especially on steps and stairs. We have plenty of stairs
at my home. Sometimes I'm not sure my knee will make it. So I apply the brace to walk when it's
feeling weak.

It's amazing how fast life can change. One moment everything is great and, suddenly, it's not. Just walking somewhere from your car. Sounds like you're being really smart about your recovery, not pushing it or taking unnecessary chances. You'll be good as new soon!

Oh yeah, very careful with my healing knee. I stayed off of it for 3 months as suggested by the Dr. Just hobbled around
when I needed to do something here in the house. Stayed home 99% of that time. I removed the knee brace when just sitting
around and that helped with the bruising and pain of it pressing into my entire leg. From ankle to upper thigh. Rest is the
main thing to do when breaking bones and a kneecap. SUVFan I hope you're doing better also.

Thanks, bluwahoo,
So far, so good. The shot gave me immediate relief and I'm on the threshold of the 3 week period that Doc said it would take to see if the problem was an isolated flare up or a torn meniscus. I think I tweaked it at the gym doing "balance" exercises that involve going sideways and twisting on a track. I'm done with those! I'm going with pure strength work and dumping the balance stuff -- straight ahead with no twisting or turning from now on for me! And no Bosus! The instability that thing introduces can't be good for an iffy knee!
