Maybe MLB should avoid games in northern areas (except Seattle and dome stadiums) until mid April and also avoid games in southern areas in July where the temps are normally too hot (Arlington, Tx for one) to enjoy the game.
As for the Twins, a retractable roof would not fly. Cost too much and no ones wants to pay for it.

Well I doubt very much they are going to play all the games in Texas prior to July, but I totally agree that games up North need to not be scheduled until mid-April. It's supposed to warm up later this week here in Boston. Hopefully the same there. Well I know you guys all wanted outdoor baseball, and I think it's crazy to have to play indoor baseball in Tampa right now, too, but at least they never have to worry unless they have a major hurricane hit. Fenway isn't likely to be empty, but this weather isn't good for fan enjoyment at all. (Sox play the Yankees starting today)

(Sox play the Yankees starting today) Watching last night's game against the Astros, it appeared fairly empty in the OF seats, which isn't typical. Average hi temp for this time of year is 53 degrees, so it should be OK to have games this early in an average year.

A dramatic walk off homer from Kepler yesterday after blowing an 8-1 lead. Great start to take 2 of 3 from the defending Champs.

The first 2 games of the White Sox - Twins series have been snowed out and the Sunday game is also anticipated to be snowed out. Have the Twins ever been snowed out of an entire 3 games series before?

It is a four game series and the Twins did win the Thursday night game. As for any three game snowed out - not that I recall.

Have the Twins ever been snowed out of an entire 3 games series before? They maybe could have played yesterday afternoon, but guess they couldn't move the start time up. 8-10" of snow so far, so today and tomorrow's games were definitely not happening.

Ugh! What a horrific series in Tampa Bay, par for the course in that horrible stadium for the Twins.

April was a rough month for Lance Lynn. Lynn concludes April with a record of 0-3 and an overall ERA of 8.37 for the 5 games that he started. He walked 23 batters and struck out 26.

The Twins sign second baseman Jonathan Schoop to a one year contract and backup infielder Ronald Torreyes to a one year contract.

ə well, maybe this will be the year for an official world series! (see my earlier post for what i consider to be such.) if spring training is any indication, the twins have a long way to go before opening day! ə
