Went by a couple of days ago thru the PUBLIX Pharmacy and the Top Pharmacist told me that The FLU Vaccine Strand 2019-2020 will be available in about 6 more weeks (Towards the end of August).
With my Health Ins plan it's free and I also get a $10.00 gift card from them.
Bingo !

I had heard at one time if one takes the Flu vaccine too early, like August or September that is can lose its effectiveness in late March or April and sometimes the flu season last that long. A couple we know always gets theirs as soon as it come out and then around Easter a couple of years ago they got the flu and could not understand what happened. Of course it could be a stand of flu not covered by the vaccine.

Your last line makes sense, plus down here in S Fla, normally the end of March dictates the end of Any type of Flu Season down here, I normally wait till the very end of September and then my Six Months Window because of the weather it's covered.
I have been getting the FLU Vaccine non Stop here since 1994, on or around September and NEVER had to deal with getting sick from it.

Got my 2nd Hep A shot last Saturday. A week and 3 days before that I got the Shingrix shot. The Shingrix shot wiped me out for a day and a half. Headache, body aches, queasy stomach and general malaise. Still it will be better than getting Shingles. I get shot #2 in 2 months. I was very thankful that my wife and I went to a movie theater that night that has those reclining seats, I needed it.

Went to get a 90 days refill of Montelukast (Alergies reliever)at the Publix Pharmacy and did take care of getting the Flu Vaccine for the 2020 Season.
1,2,3 and done...Insurance covered the cost and the Grocer also gave me a $10.00 gift certificate that I will be using real soon, the only problem is that $10.00 at Publix don't amount to much, but that's the way the cokie crumbles !!!

Got shot 1 of my Shingrex vaccine about a month ago and it knocked me down for a day and a half. First time any vaccine has done that to me but I'll take it if it means I don't get shingles. Not looking forward to shot 2. My wife just got her 2nd and other than a sore arm she isn't bothered at all.

Did it make you sick for a day? I was very thankful that the theater my wife and I were at had those reclining seats so I could kick back. I was more thankful when I got home after the movie and crawled into bed.
