Agree 110%.
For me, joy was driving in the coach for hours seeing the sites touring 40 of the 50 states Coast to Coast. All my meals were made in the kitchen, had a hot shower, cold of hot drinks. Then it was bedtime to start all over. Walmarts, all the big box stores, and shopping centers allow folks to spend the night in their parking lots. Free nights, very good lighting, and looks to be ultra safe.

My life is in limbo until I can get my leg situation figured out. Not sure what will happen. Sometimes I just wish they would just take it. The pain is pretty dang bad!

Wondered what you've been up to these past days I am in Oklahoma for work. I have Network Configuration school. It's got to do with configuring Cisco switches and all that fun computer stuff! I think my infection is slowly getting better. Just have to take it one day at a time! Time to go to bed! Have to be up early! Class in the morning! Have a great day!

Am off topic. Do you own Cisco stock? Gas is the least there that everywhere else. Is soaking the infection in Hydrogen Peroxide excellent to keep it clean?
Anyone here own a travel trailer or a RV? Had my RV for 17 years.

Had my RV for 17 years. LOL.....No...that's the brand that they use at work. The doctor told me to stop soaking it as it causes necrosis of good tissue. I didn't do it too much. It got better. I'm still thinking of that RV!

Glad your foot is getting better. Excellent! A former neighbor up the mtn from me had a 17' version of my 20' RBR Mini Cruiser. He was a 275 lb man. His nickname is bear. He went camping often in his mini RV. Am sure it was small for him. Tho he never complained. My 20' got superb gas mileage This is the brochure of the 17' RBR Mini Cruiser. Some are a V6. Mine was fab w/a V4 Enjoyed it immensely for 15 years!

Yeah, my knee is getting better very slowly! That's a nice RV! I'm not sure if I could use that though. My left leg hardly bends at all and may never bend if the doctor goes in and fuses it. It kind of limits me.

Sure hope your knee/leg is not fused. That is one ugly sounding term. Am sure not being able to bend your knee would ball up your life. Tell the doc, "Hands off!"

I can't bend it now and I'm making due. Well, I can bend it maybe 20 degrees. It's natural with walking but I am sure I can get used to straight legging it. Just not what I want out of life.

Is very difficult to imagine that you will be forced to have our knee fused. Would see another doc or two for other options. A replacement knee comes to mind. Hope you can sue the idiot that hit you.

MidnightSun.......They have to find the pile of garbage. It's been nearly a year and a half and they still haven't found him. I doubt they are looking! I do have a replacement knee. That is what is infected. My knee damage was so bad that it was a one shot deal. I'm not sure if the infection is going away or not.

My ortho surgeon told me that an infected replacement prosthesis meant having to hand scrape the infection off. After removing it. One surgery is enough. Hope the pos is found.
Did enjoy the RV life. Particularly travelling coast to coast. Took all the E-W routes from Boston to LA and back. About a dozen times.

Unfortunately, that will not be happening for me. He said that if he has to go in, he will be fusing. That sounds like a fun time! I wish all of Route 66 was intact! US 78 used to be a nice road but now it's about gone. It is now Interstate 22.

Missed my opportunity to travel Rt 66 from 1982 to 1984. Did cruise on some of it. Was not looking to go from Santa Monica CA to Chicago. Was mostly an E-W explorer. Lived in Glendale, CA at the time. Bought my Toyota RBR Mini Cruiser in NH. Loved touring the interstates, hwys and blvds. 20' made it street legal to park anywhere.
