The weatherman just announced this has been our hottest May on record, with an official rainfall of .97" for the Month. My rain gauge has only registered .01" for the Month. I wonder what the Summer will bring. My grass is getting brown and crunchy. The farmers have their fields planted but the seeds can't germinate. There goes the price of food...

This afternoon the remnants of tropical storm Alberto moved into the Wabash Valley, bringing the most welcome rain with it.
On the radar it showed it rotating in a large circle. The weatherman was geeking out. He said if the center was over you, it would be calm, blue skies, and no rain. I understood him to say this was a rare event this far inland!
