Lance Lynn had a good outing in his Spring Training debut. Lynn pitched 3 scoreless innings and recorded 5 Ks.

The Twins suffered a huge blow today with MLB suspending shortstop Jorge Polanco 80 games for testing positive for a performance enhancing substance.

ə go twins! i’ve been a fan of the twins for many years. to give you an idea of how long, i was a fan when their stadium was where the mall of america is today! a former cartoonist for the des moines register, frank miller, was a devout fan of the ny yankees. for him, a world series was not “official” without the yankees. my counter to that is that an official series must have the twins in it! will this be the year for an “official” series?

ND, Let's hope so. But as a Minnesota sports fan, you know very well that something will go wrong and the season will end too soon.

Play Ball! Hoping for a little improved record to say 90-72 and a wild card spot this year.

An impressive start for Odorizzi yesterday, unfortunately the offense did not help out and new closer Rodney gave up the walk off homer in the 11th.

Spectacular start from Berrios today, as he shuts out the Orioles on three hits. The Twins starters have yet to yield a run this season.

Wow, the Twins starters have been better than the Red Sox so far! Then again, the kid today was getting his first start, so one run isn't too bad either way. Amazing how much offense there was from a few teams, but so far the pitching has dominated for most teams.

The temperature at the start of today's game was the coldest in Twins history, 27 degrees. Twins lost 11-4 to the Mariners. Those rude Mariners hitters didn't know that there is an unwritten rule that they are supposed to take it easy on Jose.

And Sunday's game was postponed because of (expected) snow although it was a couple degrees warmer at game time. And now have a night game tomorrow. In the old Met Fields days, they never played at night in April, for good reason. This was why they once played in the Metrodome.

Normal highs are low 50s now. But we have not seen that temp yet this year. Twins should not have home night games until mid April at the earliest.

Agreed, as it also snowed in Boston last Friday and it snowed in Chicago for their home opener. Sox opened on Thursday and had a scheduled day off on Friday. Insanity to be playing baseball at home this early in the year, but when the brain-children that set up the schedule decided to play games that counted on March 29th it only makes sense that they will want to open up within a week or two in all parks. I think starting the season on March 29th was quite silly, personally, and starting in places like Chicago, NY, Boston and Minnesota in mid-April would be a lot smarter. But I also think a retractable dome may have been a great idea for Minnesota.
