Amazon Echo Dot "Alexa! Play some good music!"
They have me figured out. Alexa started playing classic rock, right now it's playing:

Looking forward to finding out which year SeriusXM's 70s on 7 replay of Casey Kasem's AT 40 countdown will feature today. That starts in 15 minutes.
Yesterday, on 60s Gold, I caught part of this week's 60s Satellite Survey. Dave Hoefel is playing the top 40 from this week in '64.
In between two of the songs in the mid 20s, Dave referenced the production of the Mustang. He said that according to some, the first model rolled off the line that week but noted that others say the first one came off a lot earlier. That's met with a charge that the earlier one was a prototype, not the real deal. Dave concluded that talking about cars is a good way to start a fight!

Sounds like a great C/D, Sneakers!
I've got blissful silence right now!
Earlier today, in the car, I had Rachel Steel and Classic Vinyl playing for a while. Steel noted today is Elton John's birthday -- he's 77. And that when he made that his stage name, he also included a little known middle name: Hercules. Dude's got that kind of ego!

On the way home from golf, I tuned into Classic Vinyl. Rachel Steele explained at the break that they are going to run a top 50 countdown on Monday on some guitar channel featuring the songs voted to have the best guitar solos. Dead!, the song I posted today in the new post a rock artist and a song thread, is one of the nearly 300 nominees.
The link to vote supposedly is www.siriusxm.com/blog/vote-guitar-greats. You can vote for only 25 of the songs so this isn't exactly a scientific survey! But it will be fun!
