José José, legendary Mexican singer, has died. He was 71.
The music icon -- whose real name was José Rómulo Sosa Ortiz -- died on Saturday in Miami, Florida.
His assistant, Laura Núñez, confirmed his death to multiple outlets.
Born on Feb. 17, 1948, José José began singing and playing the guitar at 15.
He became a household name in 1971 after winning over audiences for his rendition of Roberto Cantoral’s song “El Triste” at a renowned festival.

Busbee, Grammy-Nominated Songwriter and Producer, Dies at 43

News of his death surfaced Sunday night. The cause of death is unknown.
Busbee — whose real name was Michael James Ryan — worked with a slew of top artists in country music, including Maren Morris, Garth Brooks, Lady Antebellum and Keith Urban. He co-wrote Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y." and multiple songs on Urban's album Ripcord and Morris' debut album, Hero.

Kim Shattuck, Lead Singer and Songwriter for The Muffs, Dies at 56

Kim Shattuck, lead singer and songwriter for The Muffs, died today following a two-year struggle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Her husband, Kevin Sutherland confirmed the news today via Instagram.

The Muffs were an American punk rock band based in Southern California, formed in 1991. Led by singer and guitarist Kim Shattuck, the band released four full-length studio albums in the 1990s, as well as numerous singles including "Lucky Guy" and "Sad Tomorrow", and a cover version of "Kids in America".
