1923: Bob Barker -- original host of The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007. According to my former co-worker who won a showcase in the 80s, he was not very nice to contestants off camera. I'm guessing that's not true of his successor, Drew Carey.
Barker is also known for hosting Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1974.

1924: Don Knots, passed away in 2006 at the age of 81, best known for his role as Barney Fife, Mayberry's beat cop. One of my favorite scenes from that show was the one where he cites Gomer Pyle for an illegal U-turn and then Gomer turns the tables on Barney:

1928: Shirley Temple Born on April 23rd in Santa Monica. Child star of Curly Top and Heidi who received a Juvenile Academy Award in 1935 and who became a U.S. Ambassador in 1974. Some of her best-known films were Glad Rags to Riches, Bright Eyes, Fort Apache, and A Little Princess. She first acted at the age of four in a series on one-reelers titled Baby Burlesks. She retired from acting when she was 22.

1929: Actress and Princess Grace Kelly was born in Philly on November 12th. She starred in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window opposite Jimmy Stewart. She married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in April of 1956 and became the Princess of Monaco. She died way too young at 52 on September 14, 1982.
