National Security Action Memorandum 263
National Security Action Memorandum Number 263 (NSAM-263) was a national security directive approved on 11 October 1963 by United States President John F. Kennedy.
The NSAM approved recommendations by Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Maxwell Taylor. McNamara and Taylor's recommendations included an appraisal that "great progress" was being made in the Vietnam War against Viet Cong insurgents, that 1,000 military personnel could be withdrawn from South Vietnam by the end of 1963, and that a "major part of the U.S. military task can be completed by the end of 1965." The U.S. at this time had more than 16,000 military personnel in South Vietnam.
NSAM-263 has served as an important source for many authors who have claimed that President Kennedy planned to withdraw U.S. military forces from Vietnam and would have completed the withdrawal after achieving reelection in 1964.

LVA Fokker D.VII ‘266’ went into service on May 5 1920 and was withdrawn on December 12 1935. During it’s service life, the ‘266’ had several minor accidents. All of these could be repaired. One is worth mentioning, as it was pushed against a hangar by a tornado on July 17, 1933. It was withdrawn because the fuselage was rejected.

"Hawkmoon 269" is a song by Irish rock band U2 and is the fourth track on their 1988 album, Rattle and Hum.
"Hawkmoon 269" was recorded in Hollywood, California in Sunset Sound studios.
The name "Hawkmoon" was inspired by the town of Hawkmoon, North Dakota, which U2 had passed through while on tour.
The number "269" in the title refers to the number of mixes the song went through before the final recorded version, according to the Edge, who said they spent three weeks on the track.
