2 -- This may change due to Hertz' bankruptcy but Avis used to claim to be #2 in their ad campaign: Edit 6/13/24 -- The original lead post has been deleted. No memory of who started it? Anyway, looking at the posts, the game appears to be to post numbers in order from 1 up to 300, along with -- optionally! -- noting something that number stands for. It's been dormant for a while but as the substitute OP we'll see if we can get this thing rock'n again!

You're Sixteen by Ringo Starr - This song, about a beautiful girl the singer is in love with, was the second solo project by Ringo Starr to reach #1 ("Photograph" is the first, and remains one of his most fondly remembered hits). The song was written by the Sherman Brothers, who are famous for writing the Disney classics "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and "It's A Small World." The first recording of the song was by Johnny Burnette in 1960; his version was featured in the 1973 movie American Grafitti.
