Question: Are we considering the word "The" as part of a group's name?

Question: Are we considering the word "The" as part of a group's name?
I think Teslukbla must not have noticed your question. It's definitely a good one.
As an alum and fan of The Ohio State University (Believe it or not, "THE" has been trademarked), I'm aware that sometimes the "The" can be a formal part of a name, as in Ohio State's case. So it would be appropriate for a musical group that has "The" as part of its name to go in the Ts. Of course, that's not always clear. Sometimes on the screen on my radio, songs come up "Who" as the artist. Other times, it's "The Who".
For purposes of this thread, I'd encourage the OP to edit the lead post to make it clear how it should be handled and to post a note in the body of the thread to let us know there's been a decision.

Question: Are we considering the word "The" as part of a group's name?
Response: There are a number of bands that use the word "The" in the band name. Examples are "The Police", "The Cars", "The Cranberries". Posting the name of those bands with the word "The" is preferred.
An edit has been made to the lead post.
