The Reds have won 7 in a row, including a 4 game sweep of the Cubs. They are playing some inspired baseball for the past 2 months... Watched them take 2 from my Tigers in Cincy!

The Reds made a trade with the Dodgers today that is one of the best trades the Reds have made in years. The Reds rid themselves of Homer Bailey, who has been a waste of a roster spot since the Reds gave him a $105 million contract prior to the 2014 season. In exchange for the worthless Bailey, the Dodgers send to the Reds Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, Alex Wood, and reserve catcher and infielder Kyle Farmer. The Reds also send a couple of minor league players to the Dodgers. The subtraction of Bailey and the addition of the players the Reds receive for Bailey, along with pitcher Tanner Roark, whom the Reds got from the Nationals, should place the Reds in a position to possibly avoid a losing season in 2019.

The Reds acquire Sonny Gray from the Yankees. Do they have enough pitching to contend in 2019?

An early season surprise is that the Reds have been shut out in 4 of their first 7 games.
