She's doing okay, Sir Joe. Mostly, she's been sleeping, after lots of hours awake and hurting they've just started giving her whatever it takes to cut the pain. Suits me...I hate to watch my gal hurt.
Went to my diabetes dood this morning. He says I'm not quite as fat, not quite as sweet, and not even nearly as loaded with cholesterol as I have been. Also, my BP was 128/80, so the doc was pleased.
Now he's saying he will retire in January, so I've decided that'll be my last time there, too. I've been seeing Dr. Fischer since 1984, and I'm just going to "retire" as a diabetic patient in January when he retires as a diabetes doctor. After that, I'll just toss all my meds and enjoy whatever's left...or try, anyway. Pretty damned hard to "enjoy" when it's hard to walk.
I DO NOT LIKE BEING OLD! I'm ready for my ticket OUTTA here!
.....yeah, I know that sounds gross and stupid, but....."Such is life...and then you die..."
Sure hope your son comes through this well and whole and happy.

Joseph, when I finally rolled out of the sack about nine, she was sitting up having coffee with Second Son Layne. I got a smile and a smooch, so things are going well. Right now she's full of doctor dope and sacked out bigtime. Glad to hear your boy is better. Betcha that will be the end of that. |

We just got back from the hospital and he definitely looks a hell of a lot better but since the slice and dice bit he's got a hard time swallowing so hence the burgers,he can chew em down to almost a paste and get em down easier!

Unbelievable,,,at Florida international University a walkway bridge under construction collapsed on 8 lanes of traffic,the thing I can't understand about it is the news says they were conducting a Stress Test on it with Traffic under it at the time,all this is incomplete news so far but it's horrible,,,

Joe, I read where the company that built the bridge has had other problems with bridges in the past. The company is probably preparing to file bankruptcy in advance of a number of lawsuits.
