My granddaughter's school was selling "sausage breads," which resemble a loaf of French bread stuffed with Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese. You thaw it out for four hours before baking and serve hot...nice for a lazy Sunday evening dinner!

Tonight was "forage through the kitchen" for me. Had mesquite smoked ham and Provolone cheese on sesame seed hoagie rolls (two, they were small). Washed it down with a pint single-serve bottle of lowfat chocolate milk. Got a 5.5 ounce can of V8 Original juice after eating.

I sliced up some yellow squash and zucchini and put that in a bowl. Drizzled some olive oil on the pieces, then seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, dill weed, and rosemary. Stirred untill mixed and put them in a pan. I roasted the squash in the oven for 10 minutes and then realized I forgot to add chopped onion! So I chopped up an onion and sautéed it. Then, stirred it into the pan with the squash pieces and cooked for 5 more minutes.
I cheated on my main dish by buying a fish sandwich, green beans with smoked ham, and some fries.

My housemate Chelsea made food tonight for us. She ate turkey tacos. I had pork chops with mushrooms and onions, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli. Washed down with a tumbler of Sodastream Diet Dr Pete. I've used about half of the bottle of Diet Dr Pete flavoring syrup. I ordered more on the Internet, our local Walmart was out. They had a lot of sugared Dr Pete flavoring syrup on the shelf, but I'm not a fan of empty calories.

I made beef tacos and burritos: Minced 4 cloves of garlic and a medium onion then sautéed in some olive oil. Then, added the 1lb of ground beef (4%fat). Once cooked, mixed in a can of tomatoes with green chilies and a can of refried beans. I mixed up about 1/8cup of flour, 3TBsp of chili powder, ½tsp red pepper flakes, 1TBsp oregano, 2TBsp paprika, ¼Tsp cumin, salt and pepper (to taste). Added seasoning and cooked while heating taco shells in oven. My avocado went bad so I just had sour cream, salsa, cheese, lettuce, black olives, and chopped raw onion for toppings.Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

In this case, it's "what ARE you cooking for dinner?" Have a pot roast going in the slow cooker, which will be served with baked potatoes!
