D is for Dastardly (Adjective. An unsocial and punitive, but unusually vague attitude or motivation for causing harm to an individual, community, or society at large. Denotes some intelligence, but not too much. It could be a form of revenge, and with a particularly distasteful cruelty or meanness. Typically associated with men, with handlebar mustaches).

G is for Geriatric (Oh Bleep! Getting older isn't as hot as when television advertising makes it look adventurous. Now, we have pills and treatments. And a lifeline [which my M-I-L has used numerous times, living in another state] to summon for help with falling, and not being able to get up. It's time to be grateful, even if the parts aren't working 100%, or at all).

I is for ...... InjectionAlso known as a "shot" (US English) or a "jab" (AU/UK English). I have had my share the past few months. Flu, pneumonia, both doses of COVID-19 (Pfizer version), and the first of two for shingles. Will need second shingles shot around the same time I get the 2021-2022 flu shot. Nothing more than a stingy tingle for me and maybe some soreness for a couple of days. Had trouble earlier this month with shortness of breath, got shot of CT scan IV contrast to check for blood clots. They had previously found that I had a high D-dimer. ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/be/Drawing-syringes-with-needle.jpg)

J is for Jerky (Snack food, non smooth reaction. Meat and salt. Good. Seeing the prior post's delivery method, I believe I would have a jerky reaction to that coming at me. The needles are so much narrower, and less painful now. Thank God).
