Trichobatrachus, an African frog that breaks a bone in its toe pad, pushes the sharp broken bones through its skin, and tries to shank you with it if it feels threatened. Who knew? I didn't. Dang nature is weird.

Who Knew today would be sunny and no rain for us WHO KNEW Not The Weather Channel, they always have it WRONG. Once they said it was going to be upper 90s and humid. Instead it was low 80's with just the right amount of humidity. I hung around the house all day in gym shorts and a t-shirt happy as a clam.

Detroit is the only US city whose population has never returned above 1 Million. In 1950 at its peak, Detroit had 1,850,000 residents. 2017 saw 673,000. Half of the owners of Detroit's 305,000 properties failed to pay their 2011 tax bills. Severe urban decay with thousands of empty buildings around the city are referred to as greyfield. Corruption and bankruptcy caused the state of Michigan to control the financial aspects. Who knew?

Conservationists in South Africa are infusing a special red dye into the horns of live rhinos. The mixture renders the horn completely useless to poachers trying to sell it commercially. Who knew?
