Who Knew??? National Harvey Wallbanger Day on November 8th recognizes a fruity and spirited cocktail made with 3 parts vodka, 1 part Galliano and 6 parts orange juice. Pour it into a highball glass and garnish it with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
In 1968 at a chili tasting in San Diego, hosts served Harvey Wallbangers along with a story explaining the cocktail’s origin. According to the story, all that remained of a Laguna Beach party included vodka, Galliano, and orange juice. When the party-goers left, Harvey remained, banging his head against the wall.

On November 9, National Louisiana Day recognizes the state that brought us such treasures as Jazz, Creole and American Mardi Gras.
Throughout the history of the state, the blending of race and culture have resulted in the Delta’s own unique flair that brings visitors from around the world seeking to taste their food, hear their music and see their style.
When French explorers first arrived, several diverse tribes populated the area. Many of their population were decimated by disease and war. Natchez, Choctaw or Chitimacha descendants still survive today.

About 1 Out of Every 2,000 Babies Is Born With a Tooth. While most babies start getting teeth when they're around six months old, around one out of every 2,000 babies is actually born with a tooth, known as a natal tooth. There are four kinds of natal teeth — fully developed but loose teeth, loose teeth with no roots, tiny teeth already poking through the gums, and teeth about to cut through the gums. Who knew?

Who Knew???
National Forget-Me-Not Day on November 10th reminds Americans of the sacrifices returning soldiers have made of body, blood, and limb. Created in 1921, the day reminds Americans that National Forget-Me-Not Day originally raised funds for services for returning injured soldiers. At the time, the existing hospitals were insufficient to support the numbers of returning disabled veterans.
The Forget-Me-Not is a flower symbolizing remembrance.
The day serves to honor all past and current United States Military veterans who bear the permanent scars of battle.

The Only Words That Rhyme With "Purple" Are "Hirple" and "Curple". While "purple" is a common word that's used fairly often, there are only two obscure words that rhyme with it—and you're not likely to use either any time soon. First, there's "hirple," which means to limp awkwardly. Secondly, there's "curple," an old Scottish word for a leather strap that goes beneath the tail of a horse to secure its saddle. Try using that in a sentence. Who knew?
