Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island HAWAII
Dozens of earthquakes shook Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano Wednesday, as scientists warned of a possible eruption following the collapse of the crater floor at the Puu Oo vent.
An eruption is possible because magma is clearly moving through the East Rift Zone and it could come to the surface.

Kalapana-Kapoho Road (Hawai`i) [HI-137]
The news carriers and social media have started a false sense of impending doom that is affecting the Big Island. The only area affected is the volcano area, the Puna Forest Reserve area, and Leilani Estates and possibly some neighboring areas. Aside from possible vog, the Big Island is still open for visits. As a precaution for safety the Volcanoes National Park remains closed at this time.
Here are some links that may prove helpful if you're monitoring or planning a trip to the Big Island.
