DAV Transportation Network - Present@hen23, I got the cold last Monday, then had the field trip on Wednesday and got a sunburn (even with SPF 50 sunscreen).

Well here we are again, this time its for another weekday check in.
Today the weather is quiet outside again; its now downright hot for the daily temperatures.
We are so much closer to drought conditions, time shall tell on that one sticks around or not.
Don't forget about the upcoming three day weekend, and the reason its being observed.

Well here we are again, this time its for another weekend check in.
Today the weather is very quiet outside, at least for now. It looks to be another scorcher for the day time temperatures.
Hasn't been this hot for this long in a very long time; not a good sign of things to come.
The daily rains, have pretty much stopped again. A drought looks to be on the horizon.

DAV Transportation Network - Present Yesterday our local county had a Veterans Caravan through eight towns in the county. I drove one of our DAV vehicles and one of my DAV drivers took our other vehicle in the caravan. We stopped at the War Memorial in each town. Some American Legion members did a 21-Gun Salute and played Taps at each stop. Then at the last town, after the ceremony at their War Memorial, the American Legion Post hosted a meal for all the participants. The American Legion Auxiliary members really outdid themselves with food and desserts. They kept asking people to go back for seconds and thirds. Then they asked people to take some home too. 😁
The forecast called for rain off and on yesterday, but it just barely sprinkled a few drops on us for the first two towns/ceremonies. After that the sun came out and warmed up the day. When it would start getting a little too hot while we were standing outside for any of the longer ceremonies, a nice cool breeze would blow making it quite pleasant.
