If it goes to game 7 not sure they get out of the first round. It did and they did. Then the Cavs brought out the brooms in the Raptors series. Last night saw another game 7 at TD Garden: Cavaliers 87, Celtics 79!
The Cavs are the Eastern Conference Champs for the 4th year in a row!! LeBron had another monster game, scoring 35, grabbing 15 boards, and putting up 9 dimes. If the supporting cast had shot a bit better, it would have probably been a triple double very early. Brad Stevens was nothing but class about it in his post game comments: That's 8 straight conference championships for LeBron, and I believe it makes 9 overall, though that very first one with the Cavs was not so memorable. Celts put a beatdown on LeBron & company in Game 1. Hope this continues. I'm so tired of this constant "LeBron is the greatest" narrative. Go Celtics! While the Cavs appeared to take Game 1 and Game 5 off, this Boston series was being mentioned in the post game as LeBron's most outstanding performance yet. If he wins ring no. 4 -- and that's no better than a 50/50 proposition right now -- the G.O.A.T. discussion will dominate the off season, together with speculation about where LeBron will play next season until that deal is concluded.

Time for Cleveland to say goodbye to LeBron....again! He has declined his option for next season and is an unrestricted free agent!
EDIT: He's taking his talents from South Beach to South Central.

Looks like the Cavs are back to square one - rebuild/basement time.

Looks liek the Cavs are back to square one - rebuild/basement time. I'd say that's right. With TT and JR under long term contracts (that I understand LA Bron had a hand in), and ending up with pretty much nothing for Kyrie (who left because of LA Bron), they'll struggle to win many games next year. The difference this time -- it's huge -- is that they did win an NBA championship a couple of years ago, the first professional championship Cleveland has experienced since 1964 when the Browns won the NFL championship before there was a Super Bowl. The good news is that it should be an easy ticket!
