On your driving habits. Florida was ranked 8th in the Nation for aggressive driving per Gas Buddy, who measured Speeding, Rapid Acceleration and Hard braking, through its app.
Seems there is is a lot more going on in that mobile app, than we knew. And now they’ve tipped their hand.
Im disabling the app whenever I’m not entering prices or searching prices.

Nothing wrong with rapid acceceration (except a bit of wasted gas). Jackrabbit starts are one of life's little pleasures.

Also change the setting in your iphone to only allow the app to use location services when you are using the GB app.

I have both settings set appropriately. Interesting that a Guest responded with the Trip feature suggestion. A GB employee perhaps? ;-)

Yep. They already told us they are collecting data about the number of minutes we stay at each station. It’s data they can sell to station owners. Remember Big Daddy is watching you? Well, now it’s GasBuddy is watching you - for profit.

I try to turn off data on my phone when not needed. Always keep location off unless needed for location on map.

GasBuddy's foot traffic metric is determined by staying at least two or three minutes close to the known location of a gas pump. It takes that long for the app to stop messing up on data entry.
