Heck of a storm! What's the status of your generator?
Chilly here, gonna have a freeze tonight and still seeing snow/rain showers. That makes 2 snows since the forsythia bloomed -- 1 2 go. Went to TG again today. A 9 hole course may be walkable tomorrow. One of it's greens was underwater earlier this week when a small stream left it's banks.

Nature is taking it's kingdom back. Generator is doing well. The Ariens needs a visit to the small engine repair. More snow tonight into much of tomorrow. Not sure how much as the guesser remains silent. Have plenty of food, so no hunger issues.

Pretty tough early April over there.
I got to the golf course a little past 10 and walked 9, hitting 2 or more balls on each hole. About 2.25 miles.

These mtns hold on to winter as long as possible. Our 6,288' ft Mt Washington sees snow every month of the year. It has a cog RR to the top where visitors can buy decent food, sit in a heated restaurant, visit the Post Office, gift shop, and observatory on the summit.

Sounds like Mt. Washington is quite touristy!
Today started with frost but warmed up fast. By 10:30, I was teeing off at the short 9 hole course. First off, I played 2 balls/hole again and played very well. Only about 2 miles b/c my shots were mostly together.
I found 17 balls along the way. But on the 8th, a property owner saw me searching in his woods and asked if I wanted more? He gave me 10 that he had on him and then brought a plastic bag full to me as I was leaving the green. I have not sorted through the bag yet but I'd guess there's at least 3 dozen. And I saw one Pro V1 on the top. So quite a haul!

The Cog RR takes folks halfway up it's 6,288' mtn in the winter and goes to the top several times a day in the warm seasons. The pizza and chili is quite palatable, particularly when one hikes up to the top for 4-5 hours. One will wear the long sleeve sweatshirt bought in the gift shop on the summit.

Pretty sure I'd rather take that train than climb that mountain! The view is undoubtedly spectacular!
Nice day here. Went outside during the partial eclipse. Posted about that here. If you didn't make it to "totality", here's what I understand to be an historically accurate reenactment of the event (hat tip: VanIsleRover in the humor thread): www.facebook.com/reel/7674169775968771

That's a funny clip. Saw the eclipse on a Boston TV station that was broadcasting it live. My world became night-like. It was an eerie feeling. The Cog was $86 r.t. to the summit last year and back. Should be about the same this year. Also the summit is socked in clouds ¾ of the time. T'was a good link.

I'd probably spring for a ticket if I were in the area. Sounds like the thing to do.
Good thing the eclipse was yesterday. Cloudy all day here. I played 18 holes, took a cart but walked when I could, about 2 miles.

It's gonna be cloudy w/ rain showers for 3 days and temp in the upper 40's and low 50's. It will soften the snow greatly and make it further slushy. Not that much fun walking in it the past two days. On a clear one can see the ocean 100+ miles away and 100's of mtns.

Sounds like a great view!
Rain and wind today, so I went to TG. Walking 9 tomorrow.
Really enjoying The Masters.

Looking at 360° views from the summit of Mount Washington is loved and missed. Especially after the 5 hour huff & puff hiking to the top. Nothing like hot soup or chili to greet one on a chilly day. The record high on the 6,288' summit is 72°. twice.

Sounds like a great place. Never would have climbed it.
Great day here -- we hit 75! Put down about 10 gallons of vegetation killer. Another good one tomorrow! I'll be golfing!

Reminds me of Agent Orange. Had a cloudy/ rainy day again w/a high in the mid 50's. A few days of sun will heat up the ground and warn the soil to the mid 60's. Hope the sun dries out the soaking wet ground and makes it solid soon. Mostly sun all week.

It's red! Just hope it keeps it clear for the summer and into the fall.
Good luck drying out!
Played 18 today. Took a cart but walked a ton, easily 2.5 miles.
