That works! Not much danger of going dry again!
Rain early then rain again now. But it mostly stopped a little after 8 am and we got our round in. Walked about 2 miles.

Love the weather guessers saying it is to be a rainy week, then changing it to cloudy and mostly cloudy. It'll give the ground a chance to dry out the mud and spongy lawn. The warm temp in the 70's will surely help firm up the soil.

I learned something from a golf buddy recently that helps interpret the guessers', err, predictions. He said that the percentage they tell us is simply the chance they'll get it right. Actually, I think that may be correct if they say it's under 50% but if they say it's over 50%, then the chance they get it right is 1 minus the percent they quote. IOW, 50/50 is about as good as they will ever do. Excepting San Diego guessers, of course!

Never thought the forecasters would get the percentage of snow/rain correct. Lived in L.A. before. Their rainy season is for two weeks in the winter. San Diego must be close to that as well.

I think San Diego has about the most consistent temperature of anyplace in the US. When I was last there 20 years ago, they said their average daily temp ranges from 60° to 72°. So pick 66 and you're normally within 6 degrees, normally closer.

San Diego has the nicest temp in the nation. Always read and heard that from the forecasters and those in the know. Saw one mosquito in the five years I lived in L.A. Also saw a rattlesnake in the mtns just north of L.A. No need to test if it was harmless.

I don't think there's more contrast than San Diego vs. L.A. Though these days I have no interest in returning to that state.
Went to TG today, now watching the PGA Championship on delay. Tiger Woods missed the cut and had two hockey sticks on par 4s.

There's a whole million more folks living in and around L.A. than when I lived there in the '80's. The traffic congestion must be unreal as is the dirty air. Have enjoyed this forested rural area for 40 years w/only 2 neighbors a whole ½ mile apart on either side of me. Complete peace and quiet is a daily joy.

Sounds like a great place to live! So much better than LA.
Played 18 this morning. It was in the 80s by the time we were done.

Would say L.A. is a Great place to work. Housing and food is on the expensive side. This area is the place to retire if one enjoys peace, quiet, forest, and the mtns. Thankful to live here for 40 years. Just what is wanted.

It might have been great back then but I kinda doubt it's so wonderful now. Between the high taxes, high prices and the awful traffic, that would be enough to drive me away. But the folks who live there have no interest in this area or yours. Whatever!

When I was 20 something a school pal told me to drive around a named road in the town. Afterwards he asked what I saw. I told him, "Nothing but trees, it was lousy. 10-15 years later I drove around the same road. "Nothing but trees, it was Great." Then I moved here and built.

Perspectives change like that. Great that you found your ideal place and have enjoyed it for so long!
Went to TG today with family and friends. It was a lot of fun. I went early and stayed late to get in enough shots. It costs me the same from 9 to 5 weekdays!

If there was a TG near here I would enjoy it often. Last amusement place that was visited saw batting cages w/FAST pitches. It was enjoyed very much. My daily amusement was hiking to summits 10-15 mi w/4 & 5,000 ft elevation gain. In my younger days.

Instead, you enjoy a very peaceful, laid back place. To have things like TG nearby, you have all the cons of city life near you too.
