Watched the first Beverly Hillbillies on youtube recently. Used to watch Pluto TV to get some sports, MMA and free local news and weather before I signed up for Paramount Plus. Like some of the old TV series like The Andy Griffin Show.

The old shows and personalities are fun. The sets were simple and the budgets small.
On and off rain today so I headed to TG.

Got hooked on watching What's My Line. Like the pace of the show and the content. Also like the contestants, the famous and the common folks. It was a good show that flows and is very entertaining. The TV industry calls it absorbing. There are 757 episodes. A famous star on each "mystery guest."

Haven't watched it in a long time but it's on the list!
I used to like Password. Last week, I saw that NBC had a new incarnation of the show in prime time. Forget what night.
Played 18 today in a cart but got out and walked a lot, about 2.5 miles.

Saw Password episodes are on youtube. Bet pretty much everything is on youtube. Worked on getting the property ready for the summer. It's to rain for the next five days.

Rain seems to be relentless there.
Had to take shelter in the basement last night. Dang thing was practically overhead. Fortunately, it didn't touch down around here.

See the destruction a tornado brings. It has to be the worse thing to happen, other than a flood or a fire. Or an earthquake. Not sure why folks remain in tornado ally when there are so many places to live that are tornado-free. Did read that military planes are moved to northern NH to avoid the severe weather threat. NH has had 110 tornadoes.

This was the first time I can remember that I actually went to the basement. Of course, at night, you can't see anything -- not that waiting 'til you see it is a good idea.
It would be tough to live out west where they have a longer season and the storms are way bigger. I guess if no one lived in any of the places that are prone to various issues (hurricanes leap to mind), it would be jammed (and way more expensive!) in the relatively few places that don't have any of them.

Drove coast to coast more than a dozen times. There is plenty of land in the Midwest, west south central, and the west that are vastly open w/o homes for 100's of miles. Why people live in the middle of tornado country is beyond reason.

People do so many things that are impossible to explain.
Played 18 today. Hilly, spread out course so I took a cart. Several holes were cart path only due to the recent rain so I still walked about 3 miles.

Hope the heat of the summer dries out the ground. We are to get 4 days of rain in the next 10 days. The ground is still spongy when walked on. Going to get a few days in the 70's next week. The ground should dry out.

Hopefully it does dry out soon. Of course, you could be in a drought by July. Just how it goes.

Have lived in these mtns for 40 years. Even when the area was in a 2 year drought w/little rain, the rivers were flowing full. Saw leaves turned upside down from lack of water. The early morning dew still kept the grass green.

The snow melt from high elevations will carry rivers through a lot.
Nothing around here to help -- I live at a fairly high point in the area and 3, 4 weeks without rain is about all it takes for things to turn brown. I'll raise my mowing blade above 5 inches if necessary but even then it's obvious that it's dry.

The snow melt from the scores of mtns certainly keep the rivers full. Have a dug well that went dry 2 years in a row. Called a well drilling service that gave me plenty of water. In fact the water drips out of the cap of the drilled well that is 650' deep.
