The Date of Admission to UNITED NATIONS by the 8 former USSR Republics (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) is 02-03-1992 !
According to the Declaration of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union all remaining 11 Soviet republics (including Russia) become independent states on Dec. 26, 91 (Declaration of the Supreme of the Soviet Union # 142-H of Dissolution of the Soviet Union.) - Estonia ,Latvia and Lithuania declared themselves independent a few months earlier.
So I understand why Date of Admission to UNITES NATIONS of Estonia ,Latvia and Lithuania is 17-09-91, other mentioned republics 02-03-92, but except : Russia, Belarus and Ukraine (also independent republics)...
Why UN Security Council made recommendation to keep Date of Admission for Russia, Belarus and Ukraine as 24-10-1945 - the same like for the former Soviet Union ?
I think that Russia (member of the Security Council) still thinks that Belarus and Ukraine (still) belongs to them, and that they will form the New Soviet Union .
December 25 - Christmas Day (Christ was born) - Dec. 25, 91 - the last president of USSR (Mikhail Gorbachev) resigned !
December 26 - (Second Day of Christmas) - Dec. 26, 91 - Dissolution of the Soviet Union...., the End of the Cold War
Is this just coincidence ? But keep in mind that this Thread is meant to be about Politics not Religion...

I like the way you are thinking, raptor !
But again, it means that Christ will eventually win over the evil !
Jesus said: "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. "If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? "If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges." - Matthew 12:25-29

On paper The General Assembly is the main deliberative, policymaking and representative organ of the UN... - But in fact The Security Council power overshadow The General Assembly. - Especially the power of the 5 Permanent Members (including Russia), who have power to veto any resolution of The General Assembly !
Also The Security Council makes recommendation who will be The Secretary-General for the period of 5 years !

Just because I mention Jesus, it does't mean that it's only about religion ! His preaching was tinged with political statements. His healings carried massive political implications for the ways we structure our world and understand our neighbor. His execution was of the kind reserved for acts of political disruption. That is, he died on a cross because the political authorities of his day saw him as a threat to the political structures and order of his day.

After Ukrainian–Soviet War (1917-1921) only the Eastern part of today's Ukraine was being annexed into the Soviet Union... The western Ukraine being absorbed into the Second Polish Republic (the same like today's Belarus) and remain part of Poland ' till September 17, 1939, when Soviet Union (and Hitler's Germany) invaded Poland, on the basis of a secret clause of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. After September 17, 1939 Western part of Ukraine, Belarus and Baltic's states (Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia) were forcibly annexed to the Soviet Union as Soviet Socialist Republics... All above mentioned republics (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine) regain or gain independence in 1991, the same like other 8 Soviet Republics, so Belarus and Ukraine's Date of Admission to United Nation should be the same like those 8 former Soviet Republics - 02-03-92.

Clearly, Russia does think that Ukraine is a part of Russia, as evidenced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, begun 1 year and 3 months ago and bogged down for months.
They also think Belarus is theirs, but that country has a compliant puppet in charge.

Seems like the plot to Wag the Dog, as far as I'm concerned. Putin's team thought it would be an easy win to keep him popular.

Putin has been wanting to recreate the old Soviet Union and has other countries, such as Belarus on his "wish list" as well.
