On GB they have you province (state) trend & your country trend. I think that is where the "Crude trend" could be shown. I agree Gashole, that there is no direct link in prices, and probably not much of a corrolation at all (although there is some). If Crude was shown it would be a handy way to keep an eye on it. If the wholesale price goes up then the retail price goes up. If you know what the taxes and delivery charges are for your area you can get real close to the retail price if you know the wholesale price.

If the wholesale price goes up then the retail price goes up. If you know what the taxes and delivery charges are for your area you can get real close to the retail price if you know the wholesale price. I'd like to see you prove that. Show me your charts and/or graphs. The current wholesale price is $1.51. In PA, taxes are about 75¢ and deliver charges are about 25¢. So add $1.00 to $1.51 and you get $2.51. The current prices around me are $2.53 to $2.99. The difference is the station profit. You do the math for your area.

Do me a favour, next time you're at a BC gas station, check the pump, see if there's some kind of 10% ethanol sticker; In my area, all the major brands have the 10% ethanol sticker.

gashole - That's actually already being done at pure-gas.org (separate fields for the station name and the fuel brand), the main difference being that on GB the most prominent brand is supposed to be the visible name. Some store chains, however (for example, 4 Brothers around the areas of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Mount Airy, and Statesville, and other points around and in between) have usurped that by special arrangement. Showing both names, not just both logos, would eliminate that dilemma.
