The Florida Gators are not a top 20 team. I didn't believe they were after their victory over LSU.

I didn't expect Louisiana State to defeat Alabama, but I did expect them to play a closer game than what they did. Losing 29-0 at Baton Rouge is a poor performance. Goodbye to the #3 rank.

Alabama and Georgia appear to be headed towards another national championship game. Only Michigan and Clemson appear to have the potential to interfere.

All meaningless games. Alabama and Georgia had things sewed up last week and this week and next don't mean anything. Same with the ACC.

The television networks should encourage the SEC to arrange for there to be more late season competitive matchups for next season, especially with head to head competition among conference rivals. There were only 3 games this weekend where SEC teams faced an SEC opponent. The matchups this weekend more resembled the first week of the regular season, where most SEC teams match up against mid-major teams for easy victories. It may be nice for teams to pad their records with another victory this late in the season, but it doesn't generate much interest among viewers.

Glad to see FSU's streak of winning seasons come to an end. But 'bama steamrolled over Auburn in the second half.

I'm surprised there is no LSU topic.
I was also surprised to learn (when I tried to find out if and in what round and by whom he was drafted), that former Ohio State/LSU transfer Joe Burrow did not declare for the NFL Draft and will come back to LSU for the 2019 season.
With Burrow and everything else they have coming back, the Tigers will likely be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC in the coming season. This piece boldly declares Burrow to be a contender for the Heisman -- and why not?
Never much of a JT Barrett fan (I didn't dislike JT, he just didn't progress as a QB the way someone with that much experience should have), I hated to see Burrow go last spring. I wish him continued success with LSU, except of course, if they should end up playing the Buckeyes at the season's end.
