Honestly I rarely tell the GPS to do routing. Just tell me where I am, an estimate of the route, and let me figure it out!!!

WAZE was never my thing for many years, not until about a year ago when they were included in my car's Apple Play. Eversince then its just about the only App I Use while travelling, once in a full moon I swith to Google Maps, I just never use the Apple Maps anymore.

I just don't need Google to know where I am. Some people may need to know where I am, fine, but Google sure does not.

Have been using a Garmin which sometimes locks up. Although really liked it for the Use less fuel mode. Had been using for some time since it has lifetime updates. It was at the point of wanting a backup camera. Considered getting a Harman back-up version until getting a Hyundai Ioniq. Wife has a Hyundai Tucson with built-in GPS, which I hate since it always wants to use Tollway and cannot get it to avoid Tollways. Not as user friendly as my Garmin. Did not get Ioniq with GPS. I bought reconditioned unit with all the newest features. Does not have my favorite mode but I can work around it. In order to use online banking had to upgrade my phone. It has Google maps and sometimes both phone and gps so I know about road delays etc. Need to take a break so may continue later. The 2018 Hyundai Ionig was totaled last year, the 3rd week in September on the way home from the Florida Panhandle in Illinois. It was a leased so USAA and the leasing company settled with me getting enough to cover a deposit on a new Ionig lease. When we drove dorn to Florida I printed out a AAA trip map, which was shorter then either Garmin or my smartphone. Have both the garmin and Android smartphone connected when I drive anywhere. Android recently made Google upgrades which can show alternative routes. While wife was in rehab for broken ankle I linked my Android phone to her Tucson. Does a much better job over her built on navigation system. One advantage of the built in nav. system is it can save destinations. When I use my android phone calendar, I enter my destination and it automatically comes up as a suggested destination. Even better that look up where I am driving.

I use my phone app rarely. There's a Nav system built into my car but they charge for updates and I don't see the point of paying to update what's already current on my phone. So the poll doesn't really have an option I'd select.
