Since July, the Massachusetts Board that I was registered to switched over to a new format. No news, no Massachusetts home, no leader boards, nothing. No way to gain points other than price posts. Yet even with that, looking at other boards I can see positions. Even with the handicap of only able to post prices for points, my all-time position has gained about 50 places to 1,217 since July. That's after staying fairly static pre-forum dissolving. I wonder how many places I'd have gained if I could still be getting points for reading news items and posting replies in the news forums? Makes me think a lot of users must have left when the got rid of the forums!
Any other local boards move to the new format yet?

rheckber, have you tried signing into any other GB site? Back when they were experimenting with several local sites, such as Ohio, back in January, that was an effective workaround. If you have some article threads bookmarked, you should be able to type over "Massachusetts" with another site name and then sign in and be able to post, I'd think. If not, try this link to a Columbus site address for an article several of us "read" and post to most days to get up to 625 daily points.

I have been searching to see if there is an option to freeze your account or retire so as not to lose your current consecutive days. If anyone knows of this option please let me know how to find it. Thanks

Usually when I sign it it takes me right to the "new" Massachusetts board. If you're interested this appears to be the future of Gasbuddy. When you try to log into the www.massachusettsgasprices.com/index.aspx site it takes you to this "New" Massachusetts GasBuddy Page

I'm glad to hear that worked! I followed the discussion in your other topic and tested it back then. I agree that it's only a matter of time until they roll that out for all of the sites.
