Per beta forum at Gasbuddy, they have documented what GasHole reported and advise not updating. Andrew will report back as soon as he knows more. Per GB staff in the beta forum regarding crashing: "The issue has been fixed and should be working on all devices. Feel free to update to 21191."

Per GB staff in the beta forum regarding crashing: "The issue has been fixed and should be working on all devices. Feel free to update to 21191." The earlier post had indicated that GB staff advised NOT updating and would advise when they knew more. It was not known if ALL users were experiencing the problem at that time. Just because one member indicated that the problem was solved for THEM, does not indicate the problem was solved for ALL. Hence my post indicating that GB staff had advised that the problem was fixed for ALL and it was no longer advised to not update.

"While there was no personal information like names attached with the data, GasBuddy provided users' AdID, a unique code used for advertisements that follow people around online." There have been articles discussing how this alone is sufficient to pretty much individually identify a person if so desired. "The app used your location data, even when it wasn't open. It has more than 10 million installs on Android devices." I only use location services when I really feel I need them. And, turn it off (anlong with other permissions) in permissions. I also force stop many apps when done using. I limit as many permissions as possible in settings. Unfortunately, it is not possible to fully control all permissions. Anyone truly concerned should not use a Google/Android device. NOTE: Gasbuddy hides the Cubiq location string under a link not posted in standard link format with underlined color font. SETTINGS > LOCATION SETTINGS / LOCATION USAGE > DATA PRIVACY /LOCATION PRIVACY > Share Usage Data with Cubiq. www.cuebiq.comTracked seems a little paranoid. On the Cuebiq site:

Tracked was giving info for those wanting to limit tracking and informing those not aware of the CUEBIQ setting. No big deal to force stop apps - especially those that ignore the notifications settings like some apps. PERSONAL preferences. Seems funny for someone to call someone paranoid about tracking when they got all bent out of shape about personal information being shared that he himself provided all the links and access to in many ways and carried the info forward for YEARS keeping the info he didn't want exposed alive in many ways and many topics on the old boards. Should that individual have posted it in the forum? No, but the scoutmaster made it live a life of its own seen by more and more people. If you don't want your personal info out there for GasBuddies to see -- DON'T post the link to your church with your bio, or join GasBuddy beta forums using a GOOGLE+ account with your real name, and don't pose for newspaper articles related to GasBuddy. The exposure of who you are is available for anyone due to your own doings. THAT'S ON YOU. Your excessive re-posting of other's posts is just a symptom of a deep rooted problem you have carried over from the old boards. All your opinion which you are entitled to regardless of the accuracy or correctness. This post sounds very familiar from the old boards. Being tracked on an app is completely different from having a bully post your personal information on a site where that was forbidden and continuing to spreads lies about that person. But TRACKED would think all of that is OK since TRACKED was a supporter of the bully.

Post by TRACKED was accurate. No, there were many comments by many that indicated they did not support what happened. BUT, the fact is, the information originally provided had been already provided in many places by Scoutmaster. If scoutmaster had not continued to bring it up over and over, it would not have escalated as it did. There are many articles about tracking out on the web, and many have concerns about it. For someone to belittle those that want to reduce tracking by their apps when you feel comfortable about putting all your data out for others to see is ridiculous. You have put far more data about yourself out on the web. If you don't want someone you bullied to bully back with said information --- don't leave it readily accessible on the web by agreeing to be in news articles with GasBuddy. You opened the door and then kept it alive. Everyone has data on the web. The issue was the crap that was posted about me was a total lie. There was no proof of any of the claims posted. It was made up by a bully who had a bone to pick. And TRACKED supported it. And I'm betting GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST did as well. It would have continued because the bully would have kept it going. I never bullied the bully or any of his friends (you) who chimed in to spread the lies. I belittled no one. If you don't want to be tracked, do something about it. Especially if you have something to hide.

Reminder of a request (for the value of this thread); If you are going to take the bait of scoutmaster's trollings in this thread, please take them to the thread that he, himself, claims ownership of; gbo.freeforums.net/threads/recent/250. Since he has a thread on the same topic that he, himself, says is all his own, he has no positive purpose here, other than to troll. On that basis, I will be asking for his posts in this thread to be removed. Once that happens, the replies to him will be out-of-context.
Thank you. But these are posted here not there. Are you encouraging others to do what you did - troll other's subjects?

Not sure why the logos are in an "egg", now, nor why the grey borders blend into the background, but it's still better. The "eggs" seem to take less space on the map, which is a good thing. The gray borders don't stand out much in day mode, but provide quite a bit of contrast in night mode. An ongoing problem they still haven't fixed in the last couple years: on tablets in landscape orientation, the bar at the bottom that appears when you tap a station icon still gets buried below the menu, instead of sitting on top of it or displacing it.

I would agree weaslespit , but considering the source, it really doesn't matter. The vote in that subject is all that is needed. But thanks for your post. It's appreciated. Actually, if there was any moderation on this site, that subject would have been deleted and the creator censured.

I just got ...96 a few minutes ago, so the latest pattern of general release of one version immediately followed by beta of another seems to be holding.
