I was just reminded of the no longer new or novel sensor warning systems by this commercial that played during a break in a sports show I had on in the background: Edit: Video link -- it can't be imbeddedThere have been other commercials featuring warning systems, such as one that had some clueless driver starting to switch lanes and smack into a vehicle in the next lane, hear the alarm and jerk their vehicle back into their lane and keep going, smiling because they'd avoided the collision due to the warning system. To me, they should have looked horrified and be thanking their lucky stars, but I digress. I've been thinking for a while that these systems should be standard equipment on all new vehicles. These are safety features that can save lives. I would not be surprised if a driver who gets clobbered by some uninsured idiot changing lanes without one of these systems and ends up seriously injured ends up with a lawyer who successfully sues the manufacturer of the vehicle that didn't have the system. I think they put radios, air conditioning and power windows in virtually all US cars these days where there's no apparent safety feature attached. Any thoughts/reactions?

All I have in my Civic as far as cameras are concerned is the Rear View Back Up which I have had for yrs now and I love...When I turn right or even without doinn that a button opens the camera on my right rearview mirror, but I really find that useless. I wish my car came with a Camera to the front, because my car is so low I already screwed up a complete bottom shield for going over the concrete stop bumper and when backing out the mess hapenned !!!
