Friday, NASA announced the first nine astronauts to fly aboard the commercial crew vehicles. Five for the Boeing Starliner, four for the SpaceX Dragon Crew.
It didn't get much news coverage because the Houston TV stations spent at least half of their noon newscasts reporting on the Houston Police surrounding a suspect who had shot and killed a doctor that practiced in the Texas Medical Center two weeks before. Rather than give up, the suspect was a "successful suicide." Later released details included that the suspect was suffering from a terminal illness.

The Russian Soyuz taking a crew to the ISS had a downrange abort this morning. Crew safe after emergency landing.
The Soviet/Russian space program is the only program to have a successful downrange abort. IIRC, this is their second one. NASA has had a couple of "abort to orbit" events.

Northrop Grumman launched a Cygnus cargo carrier to the ISS earlier today. It's been a while since I worked on the ISS. Back when I worked the ISS, the Cygnus was an Orbital Sciences product. Since then, they've become Orbital ATK and finally Northrop Grumman.
