When you create a link in posts, the link text defaults to blue font color, but no industry-standard and easily-seen underline. I suppose, unless it's a bug, this is because that's just the way Proboards likes it. In posts this is easily remedied by enclosing any link text in BB code underline tags like this:
[u]some link text[/u]
However, in the texts of PMs, not only is there no underline (even though the Preview button shows an underline), when sent, the text shows in a tiny, size-1 blue font. This is not catastrophic, but it is unexpected. Most authors probably won't want to bother manually correcting this, but correcting the size and lack of underline could be done by enclosing the link in BB code tags like this:
[font size=3][u]some link[/u][/font]
As a test, I created an ordinary account and, as Admin, sent it a PM with the above-described odd link text. As received, the link text appeared the same as sent. The conclusion is that this oddity appears to both the sender and recipient(s).
It could be said that because a tiny not-underlined link would be noticeable to the reader, only the very pickiest of authors would make such a correction. Yes, it could.
