Looks like the Bucs are really trying to shore-up the defense for the 2018 season.

Looks like the NFL is planning to suspend Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston the first three games of the season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, per league sources. For anyone interested in more information here is the link to the ESP site: ESPN report on Jameis Winston

Winston has indeed been suspended for the first 3 games of the 2018 season, which he negotiated thru the NFL and will not appeal.
He has issued an "apology" statment to the Uber driver, but didn't say what he's apologizing for. So, he's still not admitting any guilt. And the league has refused to release his suspension letter.
Yeah, real sincere, huh? I guarantee this will not be the last time Winston will be under a personal conduct investigation, especially when getting enabled by the NFL and the Bucs! BTW: What happened to the personal conduct policy with the mandatory 6-game suspension?
Once again, Goodell is a clueless doofus!

Way to go Jameis! This guarantees an 0-3 start to the Bucs season (Saints, Eagles, Steelers). Good luck with that doofus. Never liked the kid and not surprised by any transgressions. He will never amount to anything significant in the NFL.

I heard that if Jameis messes up again he is out of the league and that is why the suspension is 3 instead of 6 games. Of course that is just the rumor around town and I have nothing to back it up. When Jameis was hurt last year the backup won 2 of the 3 games he played. There is a feeling around town that if he does good, he might become the starter. But the other rumors are that Jameis is the best that the Bucs have right now. Many of the sportscasters on the radio and paper are calling for him to be fired and/or benched. We shall see.

First preseason game for the Bucs tonight. Hated it when we had to buy the preseason tickets along with the regular season tickets. Went to the games because we paid for the tickets but really did not find them that much fun. Anyhow, will probably watch a bit of it.

Even though preseason doesn't count and win is a win and the Bucs won last night.

The Buccaneers tied a team single-game scoring record with a 48-40 win over the New Orleans Saints. Really enjoyed the game and was surprised by the outcome.

Remarkable Fitz performance. Or was the Saints defense that bad? Great win, nonetheless.
Typically, Fitz can play great for 3 or 4 games before reverting back to ordinary. So, Jameis will probably be back by then. He just better stay out of trouble.

Bucs just won against the Eagles. This was an upset according to the oddsmakers. Wonder how long the Fitzmagic will continue?

However, I was wonder were the Buc's defence disappeared to, as that was a big part of the problem.

Where did the Bucs defense go? Yep, it is still missing in action.

Chandler Catanzaro came on to attempt a 59-yard field goal and made it to make the final score 26-23 in OT. Prior to that kick he missed an extra point, which if he had made it the game would not have gone to OT.
