For those of you that I invited, great to see you all here! It will take some time to get used to compared to the no frills, crappy coded forum we left, but once you get used to the powerful software here, you will like it much better!

I was a once regular on the Omaha GB, kinda lost interest when the Powers That Be shifted their emphasis from helping us with gas prices to matching eyeballs to paid ads.
I see a number of familiar names here. I'll try to be more regular.

Hi all. Checking in quickly before getting on with the day. Some of you may recognize me from your whiteboards, even though I generally stayed quiet on the forums. My grass patch is in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago. Looking forward to reconnecting with peeps here. Lyle

I was docputer in that other, lower case, lower class place.
HERE, I is Docputer.....and this was a CAPITAL idea.....thankee for the invite!
In case you know nothing about me, I'm 83 and have already....although unofficially....died either five or six times (EMTs lost count) a couple of years ago, but was "resuscitated" by cracking three ribs, my sternum, and one vertebra and then spent a few weeks in ICU and hospital and Rehab.
My advice: Wear a T-shirt with a BIG "DNR!" on the front AND back. I garontee you it's tougher to be brought back than it is to go right on to the next adventure.
Okay, enough feeling sorry for myself --- help me pray for the gal I've shacked up with for over sixty years now. We got her home yesterday and have hospice care for her. They say she has a chance, but probably not a big one. Personally, I don't believe that *, and I'm going to do my best to make her outlive ME!
Yeah, I know I'm selfish...but I've been a spoiled brat for too many years to change now.
Incidentally, I love all of you that I know, and I'd love to get to know more of you.
God bless us every one!

Almtnman here. I post gas prices mostly in Alabama and surrounding states when I travel. Thanks for getting this forum started for gasbuddy members to still be able to communicate with each other. Have a good day!
