See a classic, special interest or unusual car in your neighborhood? Park 'em here! While models up to 2000 are generally accepted, this first example is the exception that confirms the role: 2004 Oldsmobile "Final 500" Silhouette minivan; special "dark cherry" color used on the last 500 Aleros, Auroras, Bravadas and Silhouettes ever built; only the second "Final 500" Olds I have seen since they were built. This one was found outside a muffler shop in Granite City, Illinois... And a quick check with the outrightolds.com website revealed that ONLY 360 "Final 500" Silhouettes were ever produced because fleet orders for other GM vans (Chevy Uplander and Pontiac Montana SV6) caused the plant to run out of capacity! Here's an example:

I didn't even know Oldsmobile were making mini-vans. I can honestly say I have never seen one on the road regardless of colour.

There are still some early 90s Chevy Lumina, Pontiac Transport and Olds Silhouette minivans on the road locally, one of which I gave away a bout a year ago.

"Oldsmobile Silhouette...the Cadillac of minivans..." John Travolta as Chili Palmer in "Get Shorty" (1996)...Silhouette debuted in 1989 as a 1990 model, at the same time as the Chevy Lumina APV and Pontiac Trans Sport.
1991 Ford Tempo GL 4-door sedan; faded red; in Granite City, IL

I saw a green 48 Chevrolet on the freeway. The only hint it may be rodded is the wider modern radial tires. Otherwise it looks like a beautifully restored car.

The wait has been worth it: Today alone I found all these cars in Granite City, Illinois:
1986 Chevy El Camino Conquista; two-tone light metallic blue and dark blue;
1969 Pontiac LeMans 2-door hardtop coupe; black with white racing stripes and GTO spoiler;
1961 Buick LeSabre 2-door hardtop; slightly rodded; white top over copper bronze body

1960 Datsun pick-up, white
This is the kind of vehicle still seen in Japan...small, thrifty, easy to maintain
