Very pretty Chey! I would love to spend a little time in a far-North place like Iceland just to catch a personal viewing of the Aurora Borealis! Or, of course, I would happily substitute a visit to Tasmania and perhaps a viewing of the Aurora Australis! Either way, never been there or done that!

Yep, Chey, Crater Lake is always a lovely place, in any season! :-) Today's pic, The Blue Horsehead Nebula in Infrared ( apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap180423.html ) looks like a cosmic goldfish to me! Very pretty! :-)

Hi Chey! Yes, that Observable Universe pic ( apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap180508.html ) is pretty cool... However, it seems to me that since all of our observations are from the surface of the Earth, technically the picture should be Earth-centric... But I grant that that would be MUCH harder to draw, given our heliocentric solar system, so I'll let it go! ;-) - - - - - - - Watch the NASA APOD website at apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html and share here when you find the good stuff! :-)

Saturn's Hyperion in natural color... ( apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap180514.html )... Not colorful, but one of the more interesting little moons in our solar system! I can never look at it without wondering if it is as spongelike on the inside as it appears on the outside! Is it chock full of little caves? It sure would be fun to visit and find out! :-) - - - - - - - Watch the NASA APOD website at apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html and share here when you find the good stuff! :-)

Aurora and Manicouagan Crater from the Space Station ( apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap180529.html )... Just a very cool picture, worthy of an admiring study... "How many of these can you find...: an aurora, airglow, one of the oldest impact craters on the Earth, snow and ice, stars, city lights, and part of the International Space Station?" - - - - - - - Watch the NASA APOD website at apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html and share here when you find the good stuff! :-)
