Looking forward to the ground drying up and not being spongy. May take til May for it to dry. Then a few days of rain will soak it once again. The forecast is for 2 days of light rain in the next 10, so the area will have a good chance to dry out nicely.

Hope it's starting to dry up a little.
Very nice here today. Mid 70s and sunny. Just did some yardwork.

Did not notice the ground was drier than a few days ago. The ground has standing puddles. See that in other people's people's property. It's been soaking wet since last summer. Sure hope the place dries out this year.

Sounds like it may take a while to dry -- no place for the standing water to go.
Nice one here today after a shaky start. Fortunately the guesser underguessed the rain -- I'd call it a trace. I got over to TG and worked out a couple of kinks in the game. At least I hope so!

As long as we do not have soaking rain the ground will dry out in the heat of the summer. My feet still leave a 2" deep footprint in the lawn. We are to have a light rainfall overnight. Like that it is to be light rain. Want to walk on solid ground.

Sounds like even light rain will be a small setback but hopefully that's all it was or maybe the guesser overguessed.
I walked 9 yesterday, spraying 2 balls everywhere. Short course, about 2.5 miles including some extracurricular ball hunting -- Found 39 balls!
Today, I trimmed and mowed. First full mow of the year.

Unless this year is a total washout, think a few weeks of the heat will firm up the ground nicely. Have never seen the ground so soaked any time of the year. The lawn is hay color for the next 4 or 5 weeks. Then it greens up as it drys out. Memorial w/e is the usual first mow.

It'll dry out during May.
Chilly and windy here today. Played 18, took a cart but walked a good bit -- 2 miles.

Yeah, the ground will dry out next month, unless is unusually wet. It is so much better than it was last week. Began to get the property cleaned up and ready for the year. So thankful winter is over. Will get rain w/a hint of snow in it today and tomorrow.

We barely made it to the 50s today but with the wind, it felt like low to mid 40s. We may reach 28 overnight. I went to TG and played a comfortable virtual round!

The temp is dropping to 20° by dawn. That'll shock some of the perennials. No biggie, they will make it to bloom. Then the heat will be back on Fri for the w/e and for next week, tho w/showers.

Perennials are pretty hardy. It's the annuals that struggle with spring cold spells.
After some early am frost, I got out and walked 18 today. Ton of extra walking on the front playing extra shots and looking for balls, then I caught up with a 2 some at the turn and joined them for a slow back nine. 5.5 miles.

It got down to 20° and will see 22° for the low. Still a month away from from hard frost. Memorial Day w/e is the traditional start of the planting season. The temp will see the mid 60's in these mtns this w/e. Nice!

60s are great. I played 18 holes today -- it was in the upper 50s to start but 72 when we finished. Sunny! Not a walking course b/c it was spread out thru a community but I still walked about 2.5 miles.

Nice to get in 2½ miles on a nice, sunny day. Got some yard work to do after cutting 3 ft to widen my 250' driveway. Snow & ice in the winter was allowing some tree limbs to hang down and block some of the driveway. Now clear and easy to see all parts of it.
