Plantings do tend to encroach over time. Cutting it down is the easy part compared to cleanup. Will you end up with a burn pile or will you dispose in some other way?
No golf today but I'll head to a nearby course soon and do some chipping and putting. That will actually involve a decent amount of walking back and forth, which will add up!

Definitely have a burn pile for Sept/Oct. Will make it a Big campfire. Do get an annual campfire permit for the year. Can open burn from 5 pm to 8 am. Or any time of the day if it raining or snowing.

That's the way to go! Sounds like a fairly reasonable burn schedule.
I spent a lot of time spraying weeds today -- 54 gallons. I'll know how the coverage was when I mow.

54 gallons of weed killer sounds like enough for 10 acres. What size is your property? I've 15 acres yet barely use 3. All the property is on a slight slope. Good for exercise when outdoors.

I went with the high end of the package directions, which called for a gallon/500 feet. It did a decent job but I saw today when I mowed the area that some of the stuff had a good head start. It's supposed to rain tomorrow - maybe that will get the stuff working through the weed's systems.

Used to add weed & feed to my lawn. Thought it was eating up wasted money. Stopped using it. In just a few years weeds and cruddy grasses were growing rampant. They took over and run the show.

Just depends on what you like. I don't like weeds in my lawn. I fertilize the area near the house, just use weed killer further out.
Played 18 today. Rode in a cart, only walked about 1.5 miles.

Good morning!
Getting rain today. Not much time to spend outdoors and get wet. Glad it is barely May w/a lot of good weather left for the summer. The lawn is slowly greening up. Will cut it Labor Day w/e as usual unless the ground gets dry and the grass grows. End of May for the first cut is now in the 40th year.

Showers was the weather of the day. No need to go outdoors and get wet. Remember What's my line? that aired from the '50's into the 70's? Watched a few of the old episodes on the youtube channel. Liked it today as much as I did way back when. Will further binge watch the show.

I do remember that show. A lot of the old shows are fun to watch now.
We got a little rain here today but I busted out early and walked 9. I was surprised it was so slow that I could play 2 balls on every hole. They were packed when I left. I walked 2.75 miles.

These granite mtns are warming up nicely w/the temps reaching the high 60's, so far. As long it is not raining all temps are good. Will get rain Sun/ Mon and light showers much of next week. The ground is soaking wet and will dry out when the heat arrives.

Hopefully the rain doesn't exceed the forecast.
We've had light rain here overnight. Guesser wants more. No golf today.

Got addicted to What's my line? after 2 days of watching it. There's a flow and rhythm to the show that is liked. Don't mind the episodes are in b & w. That may even draw me in more. Have been binge watching scores of the shows. Like the stars of those days gone by. It's all nostalgia.

I may track it down -- I bet it's on Game Show Network or on Pluto TV. The old stars are fun and b&w doesn't bother me either. Hell, I watched a couple of episode of The Beverly Hillbillies in b&w when I was on the elliptical last month. May be time to try that again.
