Went shopping to stock up for a week or 2. A little glad not to mow the lawn. Rain was forecast. Have All w/e to cut the grass and work on the property. Can remember going to work in Boston and sitting in bumper to bumper traffic heading into the city. No fun at all.

Yeah, traffic is probably one of the worst features of city living. Right now there's construction everywhere around here, which really causes a lot of delays.
Mowed most of the lawn yesterday. Gotta beat the rain that's due in a couple of hours and go out and finish that plus trim.

Went outdoors to work. Got a backache that kept me from doing much. Only a chair w/lumbar support relieved it. Getting up from the chair causes its return. Not sure how long this one will last. No work was done.

Way to listen to your back. The work will wait.
My back told me to stop, too. Got 2/3 done, heading out to finish in a bit.

Not much is worse than a backache. A slow walk on the property today irritated back pain. Lumbar support relived the pain. Now watching the old Columbo TV series. Like Columbo's style and that he hounds the suspects.

Columbo was always fun. He always had that gotcha "afterthought" question for a suspect!
Lots of rain here starting about 4 pm yesterday and continuing intermittently overnight. All I need to do outside is trim and spot weed in the lawn but it's too wet. Dang.
Heading to TG this afternoon. It's a holiday but my $30/month membership is good on all weekdays.

Still have a painful backache so I'm taking it easy. Rain tonight into mid morning today. $30 a month for membership at TG is very fair. Looked at the TG website. It reads One hour of game play: $30 – $50 per bay. How did you get 1 month for $30?

They offer a Platinum membership. It's $720/year and can be shared by two people. So I split it with a golf buddy. $360 was my share, which is $30/month. I can go from 9 am when they open 'til 5 pm weekdays, including holidays. I can take up to 5 guests (each guest's $5 lifetime membership is comped if they don't already have one) at any time and get a 20% discount on food, non alcoholic drinks and gear.

Like the deal and your low cost. If the food is as good as it looks, eating there must be as popular as golf. A shame it's over a 3 hour drive to the nearest one. No doubt the whole experience must be highly addictive.

The food is excellent. Had the breakfast burrito this morning. The only problem with food is that the kitchen is on the 1st floor and it's a long way to the bays -- 34/floor. They don't help themselves with some of their presentations. For example, their tots are served in one of those mini fryer baskets. Great look, but how can you get them from the kitchen to a table without being cold? Air flows right through the basket. But that's dictated by corporate according to a manager, so locally they can't fix it.

Yeah cold food is not that much fun. It can even tick folks off. Not sure how far the food from the tables. Many places have a top cover for the food to keep it as hot as possible.

A cover would be a good idea. The kitchen is on the 1st floor. That's the last floor they open for golf. So the food runner has go to at least the 2nd floor, normally, and often the 3rd floor. Using stairs. Then the bays are like a covered porch. There are 34 bays per floor. At least 10, maybe 12 feet apart. So it's each floor extends more than 100 yards.

The times I was in the hospital saw the food w/a cover. That kept the food at least warm and a joy to eat. Still have a backache. No mowing yet. Taking life e-z.

Now that you mention it, I do remember hospitals using a cover. It did work.
Good you're taking it ez on the back.
I walked 18 on a spread out, hilly course today. 6 miles. Quads are mad.

TG needs a cover on their food to keep it warm and the folks will be happy. Walked around outdoors to test my back. It remains hurt. Taking all the time needed to have it return to normal.
