I'd love to get back to England and tour again. Three trips there back in the late 80's and early 90's, driving all over the country (plus Wales, Ireland and Scotland), staying in B&B's and "dining" mostly on pub food. Ah, the good old days...

Thanks Geezer. I enjoyed that drink. Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving, too.
I was in England only once, way back. And then only in London. I enjoyed it and we met some relatives that we hadn't met before. My dad had met some of them, first cousins of his, on a previous trip, but I hadn't and we met some more of the family than my dad had met previously. Unfortunately we didn't keep in touch, so I wouldn't know how to contact them now.
I watch a lot of the British t.v. shows on PBS, and it makes me want to go back or maybe even move there. But at this point in life it's very, very doubtful that I'd ever get back there.

Same here, goldie. Mrs. Geezer doesn't like to travel, so...
PBS, eh? I watch some British shows. My favorite is "Death in Paradise."

If you like, Stop by and have a GRAPE Nehi on Radar and me!

Thanks, Kathybye! I haven't had a grape Nehi in...uh...decades. The Nehi/Royal Crown factory was around the corner from the house I grew up in. We'd go down and watch the bottling machine do it's thing, and if we hung around long enough the supervisor would bring each of us a cup of soda. Ah, memories.

Wow, I'd forgotten about this forum! Hi Geezer, and Kathybye if you're still around here.
I'd forgotten about grape Nehi; remembered only orange. Remembering those old sodas ("pop" as we call it here in Minnesota) reminds me of when I was a kid and went to my dad's office. They had one of those old, old machines that dangled the bottles from their necks. You slid them out to the end where you could lift it out from there. Was "Orange Crush" the same as an orange Nehi?
I haven't been watching M*A*S*H lately, but have become somewhat addicted to the old Magnum P.I. reruns. The combination of beautiful, seductive Hawai'i and the steamin' hunk of manhood of young Tom Selleck are too hard to resist. LOL.
They're running at the gawd awful time of 3 to 6 am (with an extra hour on the weekends) but I can't resist. I was in grad school when it was new, so never watched it back then. Have seen some other reruns since then, but not this many. I tried to watch the reboot but it didn't hold my attention like the original series does.
I've even thought about buying one of the seasons from my cable, which is something I never do. And probably won't.
Are the M*A*S*H reruns still on? kathybye , are you still out there/here?
