Never enjoyed Moxie. Still dislike Moxie. What garbage it is. Coke IS the real thing!

Moxie?? Never ever, have I heard of anything called Moxie.
Moxie: The Distinctively Different Soda That New England Loves. ... The secret ingredient, now known to be gentian root, gives the soda its unique flavor -- some say bitter, some say it tastes like bubble gum, you really have to taste it to believe it.Mar 1, 2018.
You are never too old to learn.

Referring to the carbonated soft drink as a Coke (even if it's not a Coca-Cola) is common in the southern states, soda is the term for it on the northeastern coast and pop is the word in the midwest.

Something that my dentist says you shouldn't drink for two days after a tooth extraction. So, I've been drinking bottled iced tea and tap water. Had a post-op prescription to get filled yesterday. Bought a fridge pack of Feisty Cherry Diet Coke and a 20-pack of Diet Coke. Not going to drink either one of them until Cinco de Mayo!

I call it soda. * Was born on Long Island in New York, in the late 1950's, but didn't stay there. The parents moved west, and settled in the Denver Metro Area, before divorcing in the Mid 1960's. * Have discontinued drinking carbonated beverages mostly. The sugar and the calories aren't beneficial to me now. * Regards.
