There may be buried on the 'Net accidents that haven't been covered by an episode of those accident investigation TV shows (which are well-represented on YT). The History Guy described one I hadn't seen or heard of:
I would have to say that the pilot showed a level of skill at least equal to the landing in "The Miracle on the Hudson," which was, except for no power, a fully-functioning aircraft.

1:30 hrs after we drove by The Pahokee Airfield last Friday the 8th, on our way to East Central Fla, a Cessna coming in from Tampa with 5 passengers, plunged in Lake Okeechobee just shy a few yards from the landing strip. All Occupants died.
RIP all of them

Boeing 737MAX8 ... Safe or unsafe? Discuss. I believe that they are safe, it's just a coincidence that they have been in the news lately and unless similar FAULTS are dicovered on those that have failed maybe then with proof in hand other conclusions can be arrived at.

My gut feel right now is that it's pilot error, caused by unexpected behavior by the planes.
Planes did something "normal" but interpreted wrong by pilot. Pilot does something to compensate. Compensation doesn't work, tries to disable autopilot. Tries to "smartly" control but fails to control. Plane goes down.
Need more information but that's my story making guesses at what happened. The mere fact if the plane possibly fooled the pilot is poor design in itself.
Now the UK banning these planes from *landing* is ridiculous... Taking off is another story...

Definitely NOT pilot error. MCAS system is at fault due to faulty data from a bad angle of attack sensor. System intervened when it shouldn't have, sending the plane into a dive as it thought it was stalling. Pilots couldn't override the system. Most recent crash (ET302), pilots were have found to have followed Boeing's instructions on how to disable the MCAS, which only served to cut power to the electrical trim such that they couldn't pull up.

Very much so... This is the level of bad news that removes CEO's from their lofty positions.
