Hello GBs , I collect only 2,025 points per day: - Daily Challenge 400 - Message Posts 500 - Price Entry 1,000 - Read a News Item 125 plus Weekly and Monthly Challenges... It's around 72,775 points and this month extra points for Back to school Challenges... I can see that some guys can get even over 90,000 points per month... Can anyone tell me what I am missing and how to get there ? - ... also I never see "Flying J" symbol at any stations in my area. Can anyone help? Thanks Chopin This topic is duplicative of the one linked in the next post. Further discussion is referred to that topic.

This thread is about the Special Challenges like : Weekly or Monthly... With all of them you will be lucky to get 75,000 points per month. Last 30 days I collected 74,950 points and my 30 day rank is 3843
3843 Chopin Toronto, Ontario 74,950 3844 jerryb77 Tennessee 74,925
So what is your 30 days rank ?
I am talking about guys who can get at least 90,000 points per month, minimum 2,400 points per day and sometimes it looks like they can get the same challenge twice. They were (used to) switching the Time Zone (now it is fixed by GB moderators)...
For example Bullitt in January was ranked 85 with 8,306,202 points (I was 58 with 8,469,166 points )... Now , after less than 9 months he is ranked 53 with 9,130,845 points (I am ranked 57 with 9,089,164). So I moved one place (- it's normal, because some guys quit)..., but he moved 32 spots in all time rank ...
In that span of time (270 days) he collected 824,643 points (on average 3,054 per day) and I collected only 620,000 points (on average 2,296 points per day)
Just watch him and see if you can match his daily points earnings ?

Maybe the people who are able to get "on average 3,054 per day" drive out of their own area on a regular basis, especially on days when the extra points challenges are offered. I have personally gotten extra challenges while out of my normal area, then got some more challenges after returning.
I know from reading both the Points thread and the Special Challenges thread that different challenges pop up for various areas. Some areas offer four (4) challenges, some offer two challenges and other areas get none. It just depends on where you live or travel.

Daily I am able to accumulate 2025 points, and 2125 on Sunday. I then complete the daily, weekly, monthly, and special challenges. On the leaderboards, I always see one person who has earned at least 100,000 points more than me in the last 30 days. What are they doing to accumulate that many more points a month? Here's the bastard in the woodpile;
...the "Grand Price Master Challenge" Here's the levels of it: gbo.freeforums.net/post/126431/thread For folks new to GasBuddy, they get an extra 100 points per price posted (in increasingly graduated increments) - no limit on grade nor daily quantity, for the first 7,950 price posts. After that, nothing. If you look at the profile of that person, you'll likely find that they're either at 19, or less, collections of Grand Master, or their 20th is within the last 30 days. It encourages new reporters (without them really knowing it), but discourages folks after they've completed it.
I, also, get every report and challenge in every day, without a miss (which is more than I can say when I started), yet, because of Grand Master, on the half-year rankings (www.floridastategasprices.com/member_pts_leader_half.aspx), I'm #30 for the first part of the year, but #3472 for the current half.
Excluding random, unscheduled extra challenges, the most points one can earn in a year is 868,325, but Grand Price Master add 785,000 points - that's over 47 weeks worth of full regular reporting (but only in the beginning. chopin, here is a great explanation from GasHole about how people are getting more points and moving up in the ranking charts.
Thank you, GasHole for your very informative answers about these type things. 😊

You're welcome, GasHole !
As stated above, I have gotten some of the "sponsored (ostensibly sponsored) special challenges" while out of my own home area. These are challenges that are not offered in my local area due to there not being any of those stations near me. But on returning to my own area within the same day, when the GB app is opened, the local special challenges show up and I get the extra points for them as well.
This does not happen very often, but I know firsthand that it *IS*, at least, possible.
I have also seen some other members report in the Points thread that they have gotten challenges for: Flying J, Flying J Express, Pilot and Pilot Express (worth 400 points each) all in the same day. That is an extra 1,600 points in one day.

GasHole, I also noticed the territorial part of GB when I moved from Indiana to Illinois. I had to contact the GB admins to get my account changed because the site would not allow me to do it myself.
But this past summer, I was in the St. Louis, Missouri area (which is about an hour or so away from where I live) and a special challenge for Mr. Fuel popped up that I had never seen before. I had never heard of that brand, so I had to check the map on GB to find one. I drove there, went inside, used the restroom, bought a soda and posted a review for the station. I headed home after that and passed both a Flying J and a Pilot truck stop. I knew they are usually offered as special challenges, so I went to each and reviewed them. I got a total of 1,200 extra points that day. 😁 👍 👌
