Are you saying you approve of government putting its tentacles into private business ... with no enforcement dollars?

I'm not saying anything, but these parasites who have claimed the world's resources as their own even though they belong to all of us, yet we receive nothing in return for their use, now think they have the right to use what is privately ours for their own profit also. Worse than these are those who personally gain nothing as a result but defend the system that feeds off of them. Willing livestock in the industry of gain at the expense of others.

So what do you propose the solution to be?
If you're just saying something that's a fact and sure is... that's just whining.
If you're saying a fact and want change... well, what's the change that needs to be done?
If you're saying that as a fact and want someone to stop it, what else does it imply than government control since none of us as individuals can do anything about it.

'So what do you propose the solution to be?'
To simply do what Europe did.

So, bigger government. Okay.

Bigger government? You prefer to see government as the problem, not the parasites? No harm in government passing a law keeping the parasites in this particular case from being parasitic. This is not a matter of big government controlling the people, but rather controlling the few who would control the masses.

No, I just wonder how you felt, as it seems many practicing Christians prefer the government to simply bug out of their lives.
It's actually more of a breath of fresh air to see someone who see things in a different light, that these big corporations are actually trying to become oppressive government themselves...

Actually if a person is a true follower of Jesus (not just Christian as a convenient name), it is they who 'bug out' of man's self serving world. If by chance you by 'practising Christians' are referring to those of the religious right, they may call themselves Christian but they are not practising, at least what Jesus taught. Their sect was created for purely political purposes.
As for corporations becoming governments, if you take it a step further and go back in history, just as now, it has always been the power behind corporations, governments or monarchies that has run the world. King makers and power brokers. Follow the money to it's source (that invisible allied to no nation source which the spotlight conveniently never shines on). Think of them as the patent holders of the concept of currency. I presume you understand you pay these people for the privilege of printing any money you need. The whole world does. Taxes certainly don't pay the bills. It is they, the money creators and lenders, that have set up a historical system so old now, that almost everyone believes it is the only way, and has always been the only way to live. This is and always has been the true world government above all the lesser eco/political gods/nations. Currency. Quite the con. People fight over it and to acquire it and yet only a handful own the currency we call ours. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. The more the wealth one has, the bigger the slave to it's true owner.
To all, there is and has never been any other option. Christians who should know better have had the alternate way of life removed from their religion, forgetting Jesus taught an alternate way. He who rules the money rules the world. All others are underlings/minions. The blind have taught the blind this to be reality since birth for ages and ages, because no one remembers otherwise or even considers how this 'reality' began. They only see the systems set up beneath the financial god of this world.
The system itself became self perpetuating eons ago yet only a handful are at the source which no one considers or seeks, being too wrapped up in their day to day infighting over trivial matters they have been duped into believing are serious on a national or global scale. Diversion. Look at your own political parties. Both funded by the same people so that no matter who wins, they will have an inside track. Yet the nation becomes increasingly divided ... for nothing.
To a follower of Jesus, it is this world that they understand to be backwards/upside down. Any wonder this world killed Him and tried to wipe out the early followers for living an alternate way; that failing, hijacking the movement and creating a religion that would turn the people back to the traditional ways of man, and serve the world of man using God for it's purposes for almost 2000 years. The world using God as a figurehead while doing the opposite of His ways. And now that computers control the masses, this false religion fades and is ignored as it has become an obsolete tool to control man. Just as well, as Jesus never created a religion but simply showed us an alternate way of life to this behemoth man has created and swears allegiance to.
Sorry, but it goes much deeper than corporations becoming governments.

I'm more worried people using any religion as an excuse to do what they want to do. But as there are more than one religion in the world that can't be proven right over another, they must all be right or must all be wrong. If the continue to fight each other, then it must be the latter.
In any case yes it's always been that way, people wanting to be dominant over others, even dominant over the unprovable. It just adds to the problems in the world - yet another tribe that wants to be dominant.

Two good articles posted today regarding what you have stated in the thread 'Christianity in the News' in the Religion forum.
