This has happened before and just happened again. After composing a rather long post, when I went to post it, I got a message that the site was temporarily unavailable. When I went back later to post it, it was not there. But it really was, b/c I saw it flash by, but could not access it quickly enough before an empty "REPLY" box appeared.
PLEASE! Is there any way I can access this information??

Not that I am aware of. Do what I do and when making a lengthy post, copy it first before posting it. I've been burned too many times...

Of course, it's too late for this particular message. But, for some increased loss-prevention in the future, one of the protocols has better caching. I can't remember which one, but it seems logical that the https:\\ caches better than http:\\ i.e. https://gbo.freeforums.net instead of just http://gbo.freeforums.netHowever, as implied, above, for decades, I pre-type posts, e-mails, etc. in Word, Write, Notepad, etc. With ALL the Time in the World that I have, and for yey, noper, NO and sure answers ..I would not ever do that anyways. Unless I am typing a mile long POST. Not even for personal e-mails. My take.

I am looking at the URL and see that it does say "https" and I've done nothing differently now, so I assume that it was the same when I lost my posts. As frustrating as it is when it happens, it is seldom enough to not seem to justify the time of making copies every time. What makes it most frustrating is that when I go back to that forum after the interruption, the copy I'd entered flashes by, so I know that it is there somewhere, but I don't know how to access it.
How to access it if it is still there somewhere in cyberland, is what I would love to learn.

There may be some optional help available. Click on the Profile menu and then select Edit Profile. Next select Settings. Scroll to option to Enable Drafts, which when enabled, "Saves your posts periodically during creation."
It doesn't say how often it saves them but it might be worth a go.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Update: I just went there and I already had drafts enabled.
I think maybe that is what asks if we want a draft recreated when we leave a page without posting something that we've written. I've had that come up. But it doesn't seem to save, that I can find, anything that we've written when the computer has to restart before we've posted it.
Oh well, thanks for trying.
