Goldie: Here is your GBO 101:
Go to Profile. There are 7 tabs there. I only pay attention to two: the 1st and the 6th tabs.
The 1st is Summary. In that one, the first line is "Latest Status" where you can say anything about yourself (An old soul in a modern world: Technology challenge) or about your present condition (I need chocolate!; I'm lost, help!) What you write will be seen under your avatar. Mine is our present and future status (On An Indefinite Trip). The last line is your signature, or rather, the message that you want to use as your signature. Mine is our life motto (The world is too large to stay in one place, thus we live simply to travel widely.) You can change these lines anytime you want. On the right side of that tab, you'll see whom you follow and who follows you.
The 2nd one is Activities. Ignore it unless you're becoming very forgetful and want to be reminded on what you did today.
The 3rd tab is Following. I ignore this one. If you don't, you'll see all a list of activities from your friends or the people you follow (their recent posts, their new friends, etc.) I ignore it because I don't want to keep track of my very few friends' activities, as I don't want them to keep track of mine (which are not a whole lot because I only post on this topic, nowhere else, so it's not worth the attention.)
The 4th tab is Friends. It's redundant because all of those names are already in the first tab. I ignore this because I already know who my friends are.
The 5th tab is Group. I also ignore this one. If you're a member of TC group, for instance, you'll see it there.
The 6th is Notifications. That's where you see who follows you, who quotes you, who likes your posts, who becomes your friend, etc. You also receive notifications in your email, but so far, it's hit and miss.
The 7th is commercial.

A window just pops up telling me that I have a draft and whether I want to keep it. If this is a permanent feature (like Gmail automatic save), it'll be good for people who often find themselves losing an in-process post. I probably should ask CK about this feature, but not until we're done with our trip planning. With old age, I'm slowly losing my ability to multitask. Goldie, even if you don't have this on your own bookmark/favourite folder, you can see it by clicking on the word GBO at the top of the page, or not even have to click on it, since they're right there under the GBO, the 7 tabs: Home Help Search Members Profile Bookmarks Messages. In the Bookmark tab, you'll see all the subjects (topics, forums) that you bookmarked earlier. More explanations on everything: www.proboards.com/forum-help-guide

Didn't need to contact CK because I understand now. Here is it, Goldie, this will be a good feature for you to have:
Go to Profile. On the right hand side, click on Edit Profile and Settings. Under the 4th tab, Settings, click Yes on Enable Drafts. Go down to the bottom of the page and click Save Account Settings, and waited until the word Saved (in green) comes up. That's it.
Now, your posts will be saved "periodically during creation." No more disappeared posts for Goldie.

Good tea is a matter of personal preference; one person's praise can easily be another person's reject. Black tea was used traditionally in Earl Grey, but green tea has taken up a good percentage of it, with oolong, rooibos and white tea also entered the fray in recent decades. So, to determine which EG best suits you, you should decide which type/s of tea you like to drink -- black, green, oolong (black or green depends on the processing), rooibos (red herb, not true tea), or white. The absolute best to me is Earl Grey Impérial from Mariage Frères. It's made with first flush Darjeeling, silky on the tongue, and very perfumed with bergamot. You can infuse this tea 2 or 3 times. I've been in love with it for years now and have always taken it with me in all our travel. There are only a few places in the States where you can buy MF tea so it could be a deterrent. I like Earl Grey Imperial (black and oolong) and Earl Grey Supreme (black and white), both from Harney and Sons. I'm not crazy about anything from Twinings except the whole winter of the most excellent daily free buffet breakfast they sponsored in Bodo (Norway) in 2017. Very sumptuous. I drank Twinings tea every day for a week then, but it's free so I didn't complain. Red, thank you for all your information. I found both companies on Amazon. The Mariage Freres was $33.45 for 30 sachets and the Harney & Son's was $7.99 for 20 sachets. I am going to try the H & S first because of the price. I don't know how to explain it but the Twinings does not taste crisp and clear, compared to others I have drank when ordered out. Thanks for the info, Red and laceylady

Hello all!
Happy Saturday to you! Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend.
I am going to go fix a cup of tea shortly. Am thinking about having green tea with ginger today. Sweetened with honey and maybe a splash of lemon juice too.
🍀 Happy St Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Laceylady: Teas from Amazon are often more expensive than elsewhere. Anytime I couldn't get MF tea from Paris, I bought from Market Hall in Oakland, CA. At the moment, Earl Grey Imperial is sold out at Market Hall online but they'll have it again. Their MF price is around $25 (30 sachets or 6 oz loose leaf). Loose leaf without MF iconic tin (use your own tin) is the best value because when you infuse the 2nd time, the flavour will still be the same. I always infuse twice for hot tea, then infuse the 3rd time overnight for iced tea. MF tea is expensive, but you get the best quality and with multiple infusions, a whole lot more good tea out of a teaspoon of leaves. MF Earl Grey French Blue is excellent and I like it a lot, not as much as I love their EG Imperial but second to it: reviews. One important thing that you may or may not known already: water temperature is crucial. Too hot or not hot enough and your cup of tea will taste less than perfect. Try to follow the instructions on the box or the company's website, or just remember this rough guideline: Green: 180 0-185 0; Black: 205 0; Darjeeling: 185 0; Oolong: 185 0-205 0 MF Earl Grey is best at 203 0

Laceylady: Re: Harney & Sons, you may want to order directly from their website. They have 50 sachets for $20 and 1 lb bags, sachets, or loose leaf for $28 with free shipping and $5 off for new customer. In my experience, loose leaf always gives better value than tea bags. All you have to do is keep it in your own tightly lidded tins. Even with tea bags/sachets, I always doublebag to maintain the flavour.

goldie, If you want to bookmark a topic, right above where the topic starts is an "action" drop down. The bookmark function is on the dropdown.

I enjoy Vanilla Chai tea with creamer and sweetener. Made hot for those cold winter days, it really hits the spot. 🍀 Happy St Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Laceylady: High quality full leaf and rolled leaf (either loose or in bag, but not the chopped up tea) should be infused several times. Pu-erh (not my favourite) can be infused 5 or 6 times, and high quality oolong 3 or 4 times. All MF teas are just as good in the second cup as in the first cup, then maintain light flavour in iced tea afterwards. Repeated infusions (hot) should be on the same day because old tea leaves do not retain flavour. That's the reason I use the last infusion for iced tea, steeping it for hours at a time. You probably don't like green tea because the ones you had were unflavoured. Try a good jasmine green tea to see if you like it. Steven Smith Jasmine Pearl and Republic of Tea Jasmine Pearl are not expensive but are good starters. When buying tea online (directly from tea company, never with third party), my suggestion is to buy loose tea that's categorised as "refill" or "loose tea in bag". They're better value. Just keep the tea in its original resealable bag then place the bag in a good tin (never clear glass) with very tight lid. Teas sold in Amazon are not always from the tea companies even when the company's name is above the headline. Check on the right hand side of the page to see who the vendor is, or if you don't see it there, place the order but don't submit the payment. At one point, you'll see the correct information. When buying loose tea in store, don't allow the vendor to wave a hand over the tea towards you (creating draft to bring out the fragrance). Teavana did that all the time; it's a cheap trick which I disliked intensely. That was one of the reasons I refused to buy Teavana tea, the other reason was their excessive ratio of tea to water (3 or 4 times more tea) and the use of sweetener, both gave the sample tea that they brewed in store a completely different taste than what you would have brewing at home. It's a blatant misrepresentation. I wasn't sad that they're out of business. A small amount of loose tea should be placed in a sample tin so you can inhale the fragrance over the tin (providing you don't have a cold ).
