I just read that her lawyer ran away as he knew he would be killed. I read an article on MSN that she will surely be killed. I pray for a hedge around her for safety. God can rescue her.

11 / 9 / 18 1 - Pakistan - Christians around the world are rejoicing at the news that Asia Bibi’s blasphemy conviction and death sentence have been overturned after nine and a half years in prison. Pakistan’s Supreme Court announced its ruling on Oct. 31, after reviewing her appeal several weeks earlier. The Court’s ruling is highly controversial in this conservative Muslim nation; in addition to widespread protests, two churches have already been attacked. Pray for Christians throughout Pakistan in the aftermath of this ruling. Praise God for this result, and continue to pray for Asia and her family.
2 - India - According to Christian leaders in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a significant increase in attacks on Christians is part of a planned campaign by Hindu nationalist leaders. Every day, four or five churches are attacked, according to the leader of a church planting network, and the number of arrests of Christians is unprecedented. In addition, the offices of some Christian organizations have also been attacked. The attacks, the Christian leader explained, are the result of rapid church growth in the region. House churches have grown dramatically, with several serving thousands of members each week. Praise God for the growth of His church in this Hindu stronghold, and pray for the strength and endurance of those facing persecution.
3 - Democratic Republic of the Congo - Christians in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are suffering repeated attacks by the Muslim Defense International (MDI). The group attacks entire villages, raping women, destroying houses and enslaving children before disappearing back into the forest. As many as 2,800 children may have been orphaned as a result of MDI’s violence, a VOM contact said. The main city in the region, Beni, is predominantly Christian, but the Muslim presence in the area has risen from 1 percent to 10 percent in recent years. The MDI, described as the most vicious of the Islamist groups, is affiliated with both Nigeria’s Boko Haram and Somalia’s al-Shabab. “Christians in Beni fulfill Jesus’ command to turn the other cheek,” a VOM contact said. After mourning their dead, he explained, they return to life’s daily tasks of finding food and educating their children. Praise God for the forgiving attitude of these believers, and ask Him to give them strength and perseverance.
4 - Vietnam (ICC) - International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that Vietnamese pastor Nguyen Trung Ton has been denied medical care despite his deteriorating health. Prison authorities denied him both hospital treatment and medicine delivered by his family.
5 - India (ICC) - Seven Christians in Agra, a city located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, were recently attacked and beaten with hockey sticks by dozens of Bajrang Dal and VHP hardline activists. To justify their assault, the hardliners claimed that the Christians were attempting to forcefully convert Hindus and were using derogatory language against Hinduism. Pray for the physical and emotional healing of the seven victims. Pray for the attackers to turn from their violent ways and come to know Christ. Pray for authorities to act justly in this case.
6 - Nigeria (ICC) - This past weekend in Nigeria, a team of Christian pastors and Islamic clerics came together to initiate and promote a new peace campaign within the nation. The team wants to help educate Nigerians so that Christians can better understand the Muslim community and Muslims can better understand the Christian community. Pray for this campaign to ease tensions between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. Pray for an end to religiously motivated violence in Nigeria. Pray for this group make a lasting, positive impact in the nation.
7 - INDONESIA - Martinus Gulo, a 21-year-old Christian, was sentenced to four years in prison and issued a fine for religious defamation. Mr. Gulo’s sentence is an inhumane violation of universal human rights and only emboldens Indonesia’s radical Muslims to abuse the poorly worded hate speech law to discriminate against the country’s religious minorities. ICC is calling on the government of Indonesia to release Mr. Gulo immediately and unconditionally.
8 - Thailand (ICC) - It has been over two months since Thai authorities arrested and detained over 181 primarily Christian Montagnard refugees from Vietnam. The arrested adults were kept at the Immigration Detention Center, while 47 children and infants are now being held at the Thai Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Pray for the release of all refugees who have been wrongfully arrested. Pray for this experience not to have lasting, traumatic effects on the detained children. Pray for these believers to remain strong in their faith.

"AR-15"
Thank God, the news media has made the "AR-15" so famous; even though at times even the news media has even called the AR-15 an assault rifle; even though it's not an assault rifle. The news media calls the AR-15 an assault riffle because it sounds so evil!
AR is even wrong.... AR stands for the first company that created the type of rifle you are talking about.
Even St. Peter had a sword, in which he took off the ear of a Roman solider.
When Jesus comes back, He's not going to be nicy nice either... it's going to be Judgement Day!

Muslims persecute also as do all religions. It is not the religion that is at fault but an aspect of human nature that uses religion as a tool, a means to an end no different than those who pick up an AR-15. A tool is a tool. Humans (not religion) went against God by self determining right and wrong using self justification as a motive. Until they reverse that and love neighbour as self, nothing will change.
And using a religion to claim persecution is just as self justifying as using a religion to persecute. Both are self promoting and play the us against them game that humans love to play in opposition to the us for each other God commanded. Jesus taught a way of life, not a religion that could be conveniently used as an excuse not to live that way of life. Indeed, you are 100% correct.

LOL! Thank you (except probably for the person I have blocked - can't see a thing they got and that's great) for the interesting comments but, pretty please, let us just have on this thread "Prayer Requests For Persecuted Christians Around The World". On this thread, please stay focused on that since every now then something urgent does occur.
Thank you MM for posting prayer requests related to the title of this thread.
Currently on Bibi I see the government of Pakistan has moved her to a safe location and seems like they will consider the appeal by Muslims that want to murder her.

11 / 16 / 18 Top = CBN Bulgaria – (CBN) - Religious freedom is at risk in eastern Europe where Bulgaria's Parliament is voting on a bill aimed at shutting down evangelical churches and other minority faiths. The bill favors the majority Eastern Orthodox and Muslim religions. But leaders of all faiths, even those that it favored, have been standing against the bill.
1 - Laos - Local authorities from six villages recently accused two Christians of illegally spreading a foreign religion. The Christians told the authorities, which included police and Communist Party officials, that the spread of Christianity was not their work but the work of the tribal people themselves. “They volunteer to come to Christ,” they told them. “They saw that animism is false. They see God’s power and believe in Him.” The officials said they intend to ban Christian worship and revoke citizenship from those who convert to Christianity. Furthermore, they warned, if any more people convert to Christianity the two Christian men will be arrested. Please pray that these believers will remain strong in faith even as they are rejected by their community. Also pray that God will open the eyes of the authorities to the gospel.
2 - Uganda - When Doreka told her Muslim husband that she had become a Christian, he angrily chased her out of the house and told her he would hang their four children. She quickly gathered the children and took refuge in a nearby church. “No matter what happens, I stand firm in Jesus Christ because of His promises,” she told a VOM worker. “In Islam, they teach that their heaven is a garden. But I heard that Jesus is the one to take us to the Father, so I accepted Christ.” With assistance from VOM, Doreka and her children are now living in a house of their own and the children are back in school. Their local church also continues to provide support and encouragement. Pray that this family will continue to trust the Lord.
3 - Sri Lanka - A group of about 100 angry locals surrounded a church in Beliatta during Sunday services recently, damaging windows, removing Christian symbols from the front door and vandalizing motorcycles parked outside. A few people even entered the church and told the pastor they would kill him if he did not stop worship activities and leave the village, a threat reinforced by a Buddhist monk who arrived later. The situation was defused about an hour later, when police arrived to escort the pastor from the church building. Pray that church leaders and members will hold fast to their faith and be able to develop better relationships with those who oppose them.
4 - China (ICC) - On November 10, Pastor Huang Xiaoning from Guangzhou Bible Reformed Church was detained for five days by police for ‘disrupting public services.’ According to one source, Pastor Huang decided to fast and pray for the five-day duration. He is the fourth pastor in China who has been detained for ‘disobedience’ regarding the latest religious regulations enacted last February. Pray for these religious restrictions to be overturned. Pray for encouragement for Pastor Huang following this ordeal. Pray for unity and growth among the Cameroon (ICC) - At a small Christian school in Cameroon, 79 children and three teachers have been abducted. The abductors posted a video on social media with the children, between the ages of 11-17, sharing their ransom demands. The abduction has been linked to the struggle for an independent state in Cameroon’s southwest and northwest regions. Pray the quick and safe return of all those who have been abducted. Pray for the captives to remain strong in their faith during this difficult time. Pray for supernatural peace for those in captivity.
5 - Vietnam (ICC) - Vietnamese pastor Nguyen Trung Ton has been denied medical care despite his deteriorating health. Prison authorities denied him both hospital treatment and medicine delivered by his family. The pro-democracy activist was convicted of attempting to overthrow the communist government and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Pray for Pastor Ton’s physical health to improve and that he released quickly so that he can receive adequate care. Pray for encouragement for Pastor Ton’s family while he is in prison.
6 - China – ACLJ - Christian Pastor John Cao, a U.S. permanent resident, has been wrongfully convicted and sentenced in China. After decades working in China and Burma (Myanmar), providing for the poor, sharing the love of Christ, and establishing schools for impoverished children, Pastor John was arrested and imprisoned by Chinese authorities as part of their increased crackdown on Christian pastors. Pastor John's wife and 2 sons (all U.S. citizens from North Carolina) desperately want their father released and returned home to America. He has been sentenced to seven years in prison. He's already been imprisoned for more than 20 months. His health is deteriorating, as he's lost over 50 pounds. He's forced to share a cell with a dozen inmates and only 1 bed.
Asia Bibi (Pakistan), Pastor John Cao (China), Gao Zhisheng (China), Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani (Iran)

11/23/18 1 - Colombia - A pastor in one of Colombia’s rebel-controlled rural areas is serving the children caught up in the drug trade. Jorge invites these children to an after-school music program, where they can avoid being on the streets or in the coca fields. Guerrillas in the area often use children to harvest coca plants or transport chemicals needed for processing coca leaves into cocaine. “They are so poor,” the pastor told a VOM worker, “so the child works and it is an opportunity for the family because he is making a little money.” Through the music program, the children are channeled in another direction — and hear about the love God has for them. Pray for the pastor who is serving the children in this area. Pray for the children to see there is hope in the world beyond the drug trade.
2 - Niger - Christian workers on the ground in Niger report a chain reaction of disciple-making over the last two years. One man who went through a VOM-sponsored church planting program went on to share the gospel with seven others. After those seven people were well-developed in their faith, they each went to seven different villages to share their faith there. In every one of those villages, at least one person accepted the Gospel. “From these seven disciples, five vibrant churches have been created,” wrote a VOM contact. “The new believers are like the early church as they are pooling together their resources amongst themselves to contribute to the building of a church building.” Pray the new believers in Niger will remain firm in their faith and pray for more believers as a result of this method. 3 - Algeria - Authorities in Algeria’s Kabylie region have closed another church, the sixth so far this year, though three of those have since reopened. The 300-member Church of Jesus Christ in Azaghar, Bejaia province was first ordered to close in February after authorities cited safety violations. That Feb. 18 order said the church lacked fire extinguishers and an emergency exit, but also that the church had hosted foreign pastors. The church remedied the safety issues, but was still ordered to close within two weeks. On Oct. 16, authorities sealed the church. Algerian believers ask for prayer that church leaders would have peace, wisdom and guidance under the mounting pressure, and that those who are responsible for the closure orders would come to know the forgiveness and new life offered by Jesus.
4 - Nepal (ICC) - Using threats and social pressure, high caste Hindus, including local Brahmins, forced a newly planted church in Nepal to shut down. According to members of the Pakhluwa Eternal Life Church, they are now forced to worship in secret or face further harassment. The Brahmins threatened to accuse the pastor of converting villagers to Christianity if the church did not close down. Pray for this congregation to remain united and strong in the faith. Pray for protection for the pastor against false accusations. Pray for this church to be able to reopen its doors.
5 - India (ICC) - A tribal movement, Advasi Ho Samaj, under the influence of Hindu extremists persuaded villagers that they must drive Christian families out of their village in India’s Jharkhand state. Facing intense persecution, influenced by radicals trying to halt the spread of Christianity, three of the five families converted back to the tribal religion. Pray for encouragement for believers targeted by this tribal movement. Pray for greater religious freedom in India. Pray for members of this movement to come to know the love of Christ. 6 - Sudan (ICC) - Last month, a group of 13 Christian converts was arrested and tortured in Darfur, Sudan. Several Christians were released shortly after their arrest, but the rest remained in custody until recently when they were all released. The group of Christians were taken from a home in southwest Darfur after they converted from Islam to Christianity. Pray for the physical and emotional healing of these 13 believers. Pray for them to remain firm in their newfound Christian beliefs. Pray for the authorities to respect the beliefs of Christian minorities.
7 - Iraq (ICC) - Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) law enforcement officials have arrested four individuals accused of threatening violence to extort money from residents of Erbil’s Ankawa district, which is also known as Erbil’s Christian quarter. The KRG has recently intensified its efforts to crack down on illicit dealings and extortion throughout Kurdistan. Pray for Christians living in Ankawa to be protected from extortion. Pray for authorities to act with wisdom as they address these cases. Pray for encouragement among Iraq’s Christian community.
8 - India (ICC / other sources) An American missionary named John Allen Chau, age 27, was killed by unidentified individuals from the Sentinelese community on North Sentinel Island, located in India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Reports on the Internet indicate the pastor's family has forgiven the murderers. Pray for continued comfort for the family. Pray that God will soften the hearts of the Sentinelese.

11 / 30 /18 1 - Laos - Kaili came to know Christ in 2017, after a teacher shared the gospel with her. But when Kaili’s mother found out, she told her daughter to abandon her new faith. Kaili explained that she could not turn her back on Jesus. “I have witnessed His love for me and know that Jesus is true,” she told her mother. So her mother then removed Kaili’s name from the official family registry and told her they were no longer mother and daughter. Kaili moved in with her pastor’s family, and when she visited her family several months later many villagers noticed that she had changed. When they asked her about it, she told them, “Jesus taught me. I want to follow the right way and honor Him.” Kaili’s mother warned her to leave because village authorities were planning to arrest her. “Please don’t come back,” her mother told her. Pray for Kaili and for the pastor who is currently caring for her. Pray for her mother and the rest of her family to be saved.
2 - Uganda - When Khadija’s husband, a well-known imam, died, her in-laws turned her and her three children out of the family home. Khadija often spent time with a neighbor, discussing how much they hated Christianity. One day, however, Khadija’s friend shared the surprising news that she had accepted Christ. Although Khadija distanced herself from her friend, she continued to observe her and noticed a great change in her over the next year. Eventually, Khadija went with her friend to church and placed her faith in Christ. When the news reached her in-laws, who had shown no previous interest in her, they suddenly wanted to take away her children. With help from a pastor, Khadija and the children moved to a safer place, away from her in-laws. “I now have a new family in Christ,” Khadija told a VOM worker. “I love the fellowship and am slowly learning the Word of God.” She asked for prayer, especially for one of her sons who is not firm in his faith.
3 - Sri Lanka - Three members of a church youth group called their pastor on a Saturday to tell him that a man who had previously damaged the church had a message for him: “If you enter the town tomorrow for Sunday worship services, you will be killed.” The next morning, church members called to warn the pastor that groups of people were gathering around town, planning to attack him when he arrived at the church. On the advice of the police, the pastor decided to cancel worship service that day. Pray for the pastor’s wisdom as he decides how to handle these threats.
4 - Malaysia (ICC) - On November 20, four Finnish nationals were arrested for allegedly passing out Christian pamphlets on the street in Malaysia. The group was arrested from their hotel room on Langawi Island, a popular tourist destination. When they were arrested, police went through their rooms and confiscated 336 Christian pamphlets. Pray for the swift release of these four individuals. Pray for the Gospel to spread throughout Malaysia through these Christian pamphlets. Pray for encouragement as these believers remain detained.
5 - India (ICC) - On October 23, Pastor John Lakra and his family were driving to a hospital to seek emergency treatment for their 18-month-old baby. While on the road, they were confronted by a mob of extremists. After beating the pastor, the mob then poured a gallon of petrol over the pastor. Fortunately, police were able to intervene and stopped the mob from burning the pastor alive. Pray for the physical and emotional healing of the pastor and his family. Pray for the police to hold the attackers accountable. Pray for the attackers to come to know the love of Christ.
6 - Central African Republic (ICC) - Official estimates say that on November 15 at least 40 people were killed in an attack in the Central African Republic. Pray for healing for those who lost loved ones in this violent attack. Pray for a quick recovery for those who may have been injured. Pray for peace among different religious groups in this region.
7 - Turkey (ICC) - On November 20, American-Canadian evangelist David Byle was denied re-entry into Turkey. Byle was previously arrested and detained on October 13, the day after American pastor Andrew Brunson was released from prison. Following his detainment, Byle was informed that he had 15 days to leave the country, while his family remains in Turkey. Pray for David Byle and his family to be reunited soon. Pray for the Turkish government to lift the re-entry ban soon. Pray for greater religious freedom throughout Turkey.
8 - INDONESIA - Martinus Gulo, a 21-year-old Christian, was sentenced to four years in prison and issued a fine for religious defamation.
